View Full Version : Shiny to Matte finish?

My coworker has just finished a custom mighty mugg its a guy gardner..he put a shiny protective coat on it...and its SUPER shiiny now...he was wondering if he can spray a matte finish spray to tone down the shine.
he should be joining the board soon and will post some pics. i think it came out pretty good!

yea that works! I did that to my first mugg and it took the shine away

Again.... I agree!!! We have sprayed matte over gloss.... it works & I might add... makes the mugg look sooooooooooooooo much better IMO!!!

Citadel used to make little pots of acrilyc gloss varnish. I tend to finish my muggs with a satin sealant, though it is nice to go over things like belt buckles and stuff with the gloss... shiny!
