Hi Im going to attempt to my the hulk. Here is a picture i designed on paint. its what i hope my mugg will look like. Can anyone tell me what they think of the character design please? constructive critism only please.

yeah i agree with chris.o.saur lightly sketch with a pencil after giving your mugg ablank coat of paint unless your starting with a already blank mugg,be sure to go light with the pencil or you could sratch away the paint
thanx very much for the helpful replies
also is it best to go over my mugg wiv a black marker after i have finished, so all the muggs features stand out better?
Ok Now i have finished my first custom mugg. I brought a pack of foundation paint from games workshop but unfortunatly i did not have the green colour i wanted. So i decided to change him into incredible hulk 08. Ok if i be honest im quite happy with him. however he is not by any means perfect. also is there a way i can put anything on him for that glossy look? im from UK so if anyone know what and where to get it. Also i brought some of that green stuff from games work shop. I was gona make some hair for him. But i think that would be a bit much for my first mugg LOL
ok nobody replied so my hulk must be that crap LOL. If i want to re-paint my character do i simply use that primer stuff on him again?

Hi there. I'm in the Uk too. The GW foundation set is great, but the colours are rather dark.
I've recently switched from GW paints to Vallejo Game, they are much cheaper and give a little better coverage. You can get them off ebay and sites like Maelstrom Games.
As for a glossy finish GW do Satin and gloss spray sealants that work well. The Satin spray will not give you a gloss effect, but it will give a nice hard protective coat without looking like it has been varnished.
I always found Green Stuff a little on the expensive side so now we use air dry clay like DAS which you can get from any craft place like The Range.
Anything else you need don't hesitate to drop me a PM, there aren't enough of us from the UK here.
@Frankiurfriend. LMAO he dones look like the green giant. OH OH OH GREEN GIANT.

i've found that if you use a marker to outline fine black lines they can run when spraying your mugg if you choose to give it a protective clear coat,i found a great art pen that doesn't run & if you go over the lines a couple of times blends in well with any black paint you may have used
Ah thanks for the advice alphaheroes1.

i second that. when i did my custom the black marker ran after i added the clear coat. definitely good not to. other than that i think you did a good job on your first custom. he might need a little cleaning up. but you only learn by doing.:)
thank you very much obi for the encouragement. I have never really painted before. especial models and stuff anyway.
