Was reading a post about the Stormtrooper shading variation. That's interesting that they made a decision to fix the shading like that in their future releases. I wonder if they discuss it after the figures come out of the factory and try to improve and tweak?

I was thinking there are a few other figures that could use the same treatment. Maybe some "paint job tweaks". Take a look at your collections and see if you agree with me (Hint: look at the paint jobs even in comparison to the tone differentiation on the package graphic. Some are really distinctly different):

1. Chewbaaca. The two different shades of brown are so similar, he basically looks like a solid brown figure. He could use some better definition/contrast in his fur.

2. Human Torch - I thought that the orange and shade of yellow they chose make him look too orange. I would have liked to see either more yellow, or possibly red (like the old school "flame on" treatment). Sit him next to the Thing and you have two FF members that are orange heavy. So maybe The Thing should have been more of the earth-tone shade of orange in contrast.

3. Thor's cheeks. What happened there? It looks like the guy is blushing. That is a case of the shading being not faint enough.

Of course I am just nitpicking. I still love them. :-)

anyone notice others?

Darth Vader's eyes, who said that painting another white dot on each eye would be a nice idea >_<

I agree with the Human Torch being too orange.

I also think Ghost Rider's head is too yellow.

Oh yeah, good one on Ghost Rider - I would have liked to have seen some of the white of his skull come thru...maybe a gradient from white to orange?
