2.10 lets you play divx type files! I can finally watch anime I dl on my big TV!

Before firmware update 2.1, the PS3 could only play MPEG files. The animes I download are always in avi format, so I would have to convert every episode to MPEG. That could take 30 min to an 1 hour for a 24 minute episode. But now the PS3 update allows the PS3 to play avi files, so I can watch them on my tv, through my PS3, instead of on my computer monitor.

Where would you get the files? I though you could only play PS2/PS3 games and DVDs/BlueRays?

I put the shows I dl onto a thumb drive, then plug it into a usb and play it through that way.
