I want to get a glass case for all of them! Either that or some kind of shelving for all of them, first. My Wolverine took a tumble from my book-case, so I'm trying to find a worthwhile display to set them all up. I dunno if you saw some other pics of my apartment, but I have alot of my wall-space covered with promotional items. I'm definitely planning to open them all, so don't worry about that! ^_^

Thanks for the kudos guys! Regarding the 3age figures, I actually lucked out and worked out a deal with someone on the minimates forums. They had them in storage and were looking to part with them. I'm still missing 4 characters from wave 2, so my search continues. If you're willing to give me a price-range on how much you're willing to shell out for Spidey, I will keep my eyes peeled for ya. Just lemme know.

A guy over on CAG had two for sale in how lowball sale. He's from Japan and takes requests to find items for you and ship them over. The lowball sale is over. I think they had Hulk & Stealth Iron Man. I almost bid on them after reading about this here (they went for $4 including shipping). They just look kind of creepy. But I checked the seller and it was dv8mad (the host of the lowball). Like I said, he's a cool guy and has a service to help people find foreign items. Oh and CAG = cheapassgamer.com.

Hey gang!

I just wanted to share a few images of my latest addition to my collection. These pics are FRESH (just got them this morning) It's a character that I've been asking Bowen Designs to produce for some time now. The artist really knocked it out of the ball-park if I do say so myself! I wish more characters, like Doppelganger, could see some attention from BD.

Started from a 6 arm spiderman bust from Bowen :
- new head and new position
- new position for the arms + modification on the elbows + 6 new hands
- new logo on the chest
- new suit on the arms
- add of the legs
- add of the base
- complete new repaint


It's almost done. The artist will just add an under base for more stability

Figured I'd post another update.

This is one of the first pieces of original artwork I've acquired. It's an original rendition of Venom: Lethal Protector #1 and it's signed by Sam De La Rosa. It even has his signature spider hanging on a web that accompanies some of his Spidey-related artwork. I don't know much more about it, however. I won it on E-bay. Here's what information I got from the seller:

"I picked it up at an estate auction. Unfortunately, there was no certificate of authenticity. I took it to some friends who, like me, are very big into comic books memorabilia. They said it was authentic, then I took it to a friend who does graphology as a hobby and he said the autograph was real. This is a very large piece of art. I was very surprised to find it around my area (Missouri.) It is a one of a kind. I suppose you know that there are four variable covers to lethal protector #1, what many people don't know is that there was a fifth variant cover that was a white background., only one copy is know to exist. I have never seen it, but I am wondering if this might not be the artwork for it."

So I'm curious if anybody might have some information on the piece. If anybody can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it! Either way, as a Venom fanatic, I love this piece! I need to get a worthy frame for it. If anybody has recommendations for framing this, please let me know!

You can see that the colors bleed through the paper. Clearly it's an original. I wish I knew more about this.

This is MIND BLOWING! Awesome display. BTW-what are the clear platforms you have a number of your muggs and other figures elevated on? Very cool!

Thanks guys! It's a labor of love. In regards to the clear platforms, you can hop on ebay and do a search for "clear acrylic risers" and can find a bunch of different shapes and sizes. I think they really enhance displays, especially when you mix the different heights together.

I snagged this awesome tiered acrylic riser the other day. It had a logo painted on the inside, but I picked up this stuff called "Goof-Off" and it removed it within 10 seconds! I couldn't believe how awesome that stuff is! Here's what it looked like before:

Also, I went to Centre County Glass in State College, PA and they made me some risers for my Action League shelves. You'll notice they made one to give the Hall of Justice a boost (I completed the Hall of Justice! WOOOOO!!) They also made a tall riser to go behind the HOJ for my villains:

I finally completed my Marvel 3age series! It took me alot of searching to track down series 2 (Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Thing, Yellow/Blue Wolverine, and Yellow/Red Iron Man.) I also customized a Hulk into a red variant. I'm relieved to have completed the setup!

Thanks for the compliment Shinso! I actually have a complete collection of Mighty and Mini-Muggs, too, but I don't have display room at the moment. As for the Godzilla figures, they're called Tokyo Vinyls. I picked them up at Toys 'R' Us about a month ago.

There's apparently an original 1954 Godzilla in the works, too (see link above.) I have yet to see it, though. I'm hoping we get some future waves of these, though! I'd love to see a Gigan and Angilas, but there's countless possibilities for a stylized series like this!
