While rumors are swirling that G.I. Joe muggs and even the entire Mighty Muggs line is dead or dying, we are actually hearing about several NEW muggs contrary to that fact. Here are ACTUAL SHOTS of the next four Mighty Muggs in the G.I. Joe line. Although we have already confirmed Cobra Trooper and Serpentor, we now can add:

Zartan

Shipwreck w/ Parrot

So we have four new G.I. Joe Muggs on the way, presumably all a part of Wave 3.

Zartan looks pretty sweet, it would be cool if they gave him the feature of if you leave him out in the sun his skin changes to purple like the OG figure. I loved the GI Joe cartoon, toys, and comic growing up as a kid. I even preferred Joes just slightly over Star Wars growing up, those were the top 2 growing up. Like when my mom gave me a choice of only one figure I always picked Joes first, but the best days was when I was treated to 2 toys and I would grab one from each line:D the good ole days when you could pretty much just walk into TRU, Best, Service Merchandise, Gemco, or Mervyns(yes to the younger muggers...they did have a toy section!) and you could pretty much find any toy that was advertised...no collectors hording them all and selling them on ebay!

I guess thats what makes me excited and a fan for the joe mugg line, cuz I grew up with it...had the lunchboxes, bed sheets the everything!

however, these are hasbro stock photos, like ones that they use for their website. plus they are very recent, so it shows they are still active in the Mighty Mugg line in general.

someone on hisstank reported seeing/finding a cobra trooper at TRU I think he is drunk but he says compared to my prototype that I had - that this one has a red mask and a brown painted butt on the gun.. not sure if he knew what he was talking about or not.. but no pics for proof.. so.. :\

Yeah, I didn't think that was legit.

What really annoys me is that in the July Q & A Hasbro said that wave 3 was produced, shipped to retails, and should be in stores next month. That never happened. I really hope one of the sites asks about wave 3 again. Either the person who answered had the wrong info, they didn't know, lied, or something else.

I'm holding out hope that they appear at Marshall's in a few months considering so many canceled/overstock items have shown up there (MASS Device DVD sets 3rd case, those black box HTS TF special editions, etc.). I've never seen Muggs there, but if they were produced and shipped out as Hasbro said, then they could very well end up there. That is if what they said was true. I'd buy them all at this point, but I was really looking forward to Zartan and the trooper.

That was so sad that these were canceled. I would have happily bought all except cobra trooper (until he went on clearance... I'm a sucker for cheap Muggs.)

Acctually I've found Mighty Muggs Duke, Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, Destro, Cyclops, and Sabertooth at Marshall's.
