I kinda listen to a little bit of everything. But I love jrock/jpop a lot even if I don't know what they are saying. :) The music is just so awesome. What do you listen to?

i listen to hardcore/punk music mostly. hip-hop every now and then, but i'm pretty picky about it. pretty much all the music i listen to is more underground music, i hate listening to the same music as everybody else. i like bands that not a lot of people know about, although sometimes i'll make an exception if i really like certain mainstream music.

Im a dj in the UK. SO my main passion is for dance music.
I love my techno anything from the harder stuff from the likes of Dave the Drummer and Guy Mcaffer to the more minimal sound from Hawtin and Co. I also love my trance music and love the UK trance sound with djs such as John O'Callaghan and Greg Downey. I also like house music. I am bit of a club whore and am either djing or partying every weekend.
Recently went to I Love Techno in Belgium and saw so many great bands and Djs such as Hot Chip, Underworld, Richie Hawtin, DJ Mehdi, Boys Noise, Crookers, UMEK and many more.
I have a very varied taste though and listen to lots of bands also. At the moment im into vampire weekend and The subways and quite a lot of Reggae. My favourite band of all time has to be The Prodigy though who are amazing everytime I see them.
Music for The Jilted Generation is my favourite album of all time.
I am recording a new dj mix soon so if anyone would like a copy drop me a pm and I will send you a link once its uploaded.

If you like Justice you should download some Diplo, he's an ill D.J. he's worked with Justice and all kinds of artists like M.I.A., B.o.B., and does a bunch of ill rock mixes with Offspring samples, Nirvana samples and all kinds of ill sh*t. His live show is NUTS. But back to your comment, yea Justice is definately some different, bangin music, and I don't even mess with techno like that, but Diplos got me kinda given it a shot now.

these are the bands I havn't given up on, or ever will. since about 95..
minus Blitzkid & Cancerslug... those two.. 00/01
I go by how increasingly packed local shows become... Then I wont go anymore.
I remember seeing Hatebreed like 6 times, 00/01 right around the release of Satisfaction is the death of desire, those shows were so much fun, and that album is so bad ass, but It just got taken over by Flip flop wearing kids, with goofy hair. and tight pants..
Same goes for alot of bands, bascially, as soon as I have to go through TICKETMASTER to get into a show, I wont go anymore. I used to love going to awesome show for under like $8 bucks, and pay at the door.
Except for Danzig, Ill pay.. a.. Im a fanboy.
Oh yea, The dillinger Escape Plan used to be nucking futs, I havnt heard from them in a while.. I saw em open up for the misfits in 2000, it was cool as hell..So, I like them.

...yeah i figured i wouldn't have any bands in common with you guys, but that's cool. that's how it is in real life too.
the closest were MSTRKRFT and justice. if you guys dig them, i'd recommend digitalism, too. their band name kind of sucks, but they have some good songs. definitely check their songs 'idealistic' and 'digitalism in cairo' (which kind of borrows the cure's 'fire in cairo' but with the sickest bass)
some of my favorites at the moment
queens of the stone age
death from above 1979
eagles of death metal
mstrkrft
elliott smith
and i always have to pay my respects to nirvana

I'll give anything a listen at least once (except country, can't really stand it). That being said, I prefer hard rock and metal. Some of my fave bands are Blind Guardian, Disturbed, Nonpoint, All That Remains, Lacuna Coil, and the list could go on. I've recently began listening to Frank Turner and like what I've heard so far (a big jump from what I normally listen to).

I'm into all kinds of music, tho. All kinds of rock (progressive, metal, classic, punk rock, indie) Hip Hop/Rap, Reggae, Blues. Metallica is, and always will be, my favorite band of all time. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Silverun Pickups, The Bravery, The Killers, Interpol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, 311.
The past few years I've really been into Indie Rock. Listen to the Honorary Title. Their music is awesome. If you're ever talkin to a lady recommend the Honorary Title to them. Chicks tend to be suckers for em. Bridge and Tunnel, Thin Layer, Stuck at Sea, Far More to name a few.
And for all you Hip Hop heads out there, Sage Francis. The greatest lyricist of all time. If you had to call it anything it'd be "alternative hip hop" but he'd smack you if you said that. Escape Artist, Going Back to Rehab, Narcissist, Makeshift Patriot, Agony in Her Body, Runaways good songs to get started with

I like Megadeth too. I wish they would put out a Guitar Hero: Megadeth. Lots of songs that I would want to play on that game.

i've been listening to atmosphere's godlovesugly album pretty much non stop lately. i'll throw in gameface, saves the day, and most precious blood every so often too.
i go through phases where i'll listen to one thing a lot until i get sick of it for awhile.

Yeah ... I forgot Red Hot Chili Peppers! Haven't listened to them in a while though! My cousin was friends with Flea when I was in Junior High & High School... I remember him going to my cousins house... Weird guy but nice!

You should definitely check out the band The Delgados. They're a scottish indie band (not sure why I quoted your above post as they don't really have a soundgarden sound) but I think you'd dig them. Saw them in concert a few years ago, super nice people.

Temple of the Dog was started by Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell... ;)

I listen to ALL sorts of stuff, I mean, I even listen to some rap and country.
Recently I've been listening to The Beatles, Joan Jett, and The Blow.
Some all-time favorites include Stars, Jack's Mannequin, Her Space Holiday, The Postal Service, David Bowie...oh man, so many more. I shouldn't have started naming, haha.

So you say you're a fan of Mega Man? Oh, and epic rock-operas? Well do I have a new cd for you!
The Protomen just released their new album "Protomen Act II: Father of Death." Where the first album (act I) focused on Mega Man and his desire to avenge the death of his brother and subsequent battle with believed to be dead brother. This album is a prequel of sorts, focusing on the relationship between Dr. Light and Dr. Wily, Dr. Wily's takeover, and Dr. Light taking to the underground to build Protoman.
Heres the amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Act-II-Father-Death/dp/B002LW06AO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1252673073&sr=8-1) page with samples.
