PC vs. Console

I'm a big believer in having things that can do more than one job, and the PC fits that ideal to a tee. The game console, all it does its play games and get old and forgotten with time. Oh and it fills up our landfills since no one is really serious about recycling.

For hardcore gaming, the PC is dying. I was one a true PC ebeliver, but theses days I'd rather drop $1000 on a 360 and a PC instead of $1500 on a top of the line rig so I can check my email AND play games.

But the PC will always be king for some games. Espically MMO's. And I love Age of Conan and Star Wars Galaxies. If Star Wars Galaxies came out on a Console, I would not need a PC for anything truthfully.

The PC will always be great. and yes consols do get old and forgotten. But when it comes to games, like games on a disk, consols will always be the best. PC games are glitchy, and scratchy. But besides games the PC is awesome.

The nicest thing with a PC thought is that you can MOD anygame that you want too. Can't do that with a system

I really like First Person Shooters, and on the pc its not really that fun, its basically like pointing and clicking.

I think its a mixed boat. for an adult, yeah PC's are a better option. but a game console is for the most part geared at kids who only want to play games, they dont care about excel, email, etc...just the games. They use their parents PC for that:)

im a fan of console gaming. i own a 360, ps3, and wii. the wii is getting so old though... i just started playing CoD4 again after i gave it a long break. PC people are weird to me. haha. but, whatever toots their horn i guess!

I've always been a console gamer. Just couldn't get into gaming on a PC. Plus consoles do multitask now. You can watch movies on them too. :)

Consoles are only good for so much, that's when the PC Comes in handy. :D

I prefer consoles for gaming because you don't have to worry about specs and whether your console can handle it.

I went to TRU the otehr day and they had like 15 wii's iin stock. When I got home I asked my wife if we could get one, she didnt even answer the question.... :(

I waited 12 hours in line first day to get a Wii. It's crazy fun for awhile, then you literally start to get sick of motion controls. Every game just makes you "shake" the remote to help you sprint faster or whatever, it's just not creative. This is coming from a hardcore Nintendo fan. I love the brand and its characters (see avatar), but its sad what they're doing to Wii and DS. Save your money for more Muggs, or get a 360 if you don't have one. Just some friendly advice, maybe it will bring you great joy!

dont ask her. buy it ... and buy a wii fit to go with it and tell her that you would like to get in shape and maybe she could join you. haha I always turn the situation around on my wife.

the only pc game i do is age of empires.

console for everything else. and i totally agree with litepink. i'd much rather play madden or anything on my ps3.

i own a wii, but personally i think the games are just lacking. i suggest a 360 over a wii to anyone... besides maybe grammas and small children.

Wii and Wii Fit are fads. My Wii sits there doing nothing and my Wii Fit board currently is behind the couch. I use my 360 almost every day!
