Help with Avatar

Ok so my avatar is a headshot of my custom Raphael. I like the picture but I can't get a better image to fit the requirements without it looking hella crappy and pixilated. Not sure how other people get headshots of their mugg to look hella clean in the avatar.

Can anyone help me with this? Any suggestions?

btw it's in Jpeg format, but I have to save the file with super low resolution just to it fits the req's, not sure what more I could do, besides making the image super tiny.

I had trouble too. I have a pc so what i did was right click on pic, select "edit" and it would open up Paint. Then I went to Image and selected "strech/skew" then where it says "strech" witch is the top set of boxes, I reduced the size in both boxes to 30% and that worked for me. Yeah I tried resizing it both in photoshop and ms paint. Main problem is the only allowable size is a really small amount. Like 15KB's or something like that. And the only way I can get the file image to be that small of a size is to have it extremely pixilated, I'm just not sue how people have really nice clean images with such a small allowable size for the avatar.

Maybe I need to try saving it in a file other then JPEG??
