think it's the middle of the face that's bothering you.

Generally, the middle of his "face," where the web lines connect, is at the point where his "eyes" come to a point, the middle of his "eyebrow" ridge. Yours is too low, that's why it looks off. Otherwise, it's excellent.

Holy Samus! Even if the center of the face is low, thats amazing. What kind of tape is that you use? I've been trying to get crisp lines on my Stingray mugg with tape and its going all to heck.

Just don't have the time ... yet. I'd do one in stages, but I hate to stop once I get goin'. Er, plus I have to get some new reading glasses. I wish I was joking.
I look forward to seein' your finished version. Really, except for the thing we've talked about, I thought it was a factory Mugg at first, lol.

I use Tamiya masking tape... Not sure if you see the first one and the last pics, but as you can see the lines are not that sharp... Had to go over it twice with my airbrush cuz the paint still leaked under the tape. That's the hard thing about the muggs cuz they're so round...

yeah I see the bleeds, but its giving you a lot cleaner finish than the tape I'm using.
