hey ya'll

do any of u guys collect/read comics?

if so i wanna get into a star wars series but theres so many to choose from i dont kno where to start. I want to get into a relatively recent series, so i've pretty much narrowed it down to either dark times or legacy but im open to any and all suggestions.

so which is the better series, dark times or legacy?

Well I love comics. But lately I hardly read the Star Wars ones. They just don't interest me too much. But The Force Unleashed graphic novel is pretty cool. Anyways, I would pick Legacy over Dark Times all the way.

yah i figured legacy would be the more epic of the two series, and its probly better cuz it takes place hella years after return of the jedi. thanks for the input.

anyone else have any suggestions?

No, sorry. Star Wars comics are what originally really got me into reading comics, but that was the original Giant-sized version of Star Wars, put out by Marvel in '77. I read the Marvel series religiously until about issue #50 or so. I've seen a few of the Rogue Squadron collected editions in Borders, but they're a little too pricey for me. I haven't ever even picked up any of the Dark Horse series.

I don't personally read any of the Star Wars comics, but my brother religiously reads them. He says Legacy is far and away the best series going right now, and he'd recommend going back and checking out the entire run. I'd trust his opinion on it.

I didn't like the first Dark Empire series. The whole POINT of Star Wars was that Luke Skywalker managed to do what his father could not, resist the Dark Side. And then, bingo, well he just goes over for the Emperor's clone, no big deal. Blech. :mad: The art was terrific, though.:D
