Ok there are tons of different molds out there. I currently have a dooku that has rubber arms and molded legs that dont move. How in the hell do you take them apart. I have never taken a mugg apart. I boiled this mofo forever but then just decided to cust one of his arms off cause i need to mod the arm anyways but how do you guys do them?

I have no idea, I always thought you could just yank everything off if you tried hard enough.

I think there is a thread on this...but at any rate, some people have had success with boiling them.

When i boil them, only the arms and head come off with relative ease.
the legs i just cut off with a hand saw.

What exactly does boiling do to the Muggs?

Boiling them softens the head and arms. However, the arms have some of the harder stuff in them. This makes them difficult to pull out. The head though does come off with a little bit of force. Just be careful because they do retain some boiling water that can scald you.

Some websites say to use a Hair dryer. For munnys and such. I haven't tried it myself but I think if you blast it's legs with ultra hair dryer you'll be able to soften them up. Hopefully it doesn't burn them up though.

I boiled 2 Muggs last night. One was a Cairo Swordsman, and the other was Red Skull. The Swordsman head popped off with EASE!... The Red Skull head, to my surprise, was made from the same plastic as the legs and torso...what gives? Why do they use two different methods on the same line of figures?

one way to test is to flick them. A Vinyl headed mugg will feel/sound like a thud. A Plastic headed mugg will feel harder and sound like a click..or something.

Did you find it more difficult/dangerous to pop off the plastic head as opposed to the rubber one?
And if you don't mind me asking, why Red Skull? :)

At least it wasn't a Comic-Con Iron man... I think I would have died a little inside.
