Does anyone collect any Japanesey figures? Anime and what nots...

We have some Revoltechs, Haruhi and Death Note Nendroids, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy Play Arts, and some anime figures that you usually get in blind boxes (I don't know what those are called lol). Our Play Arts KH set is complete and I think we have a complete FFVIII, FFXII... and a few FFVII.

I get some revoltech females for customs only but i must say, I love those figures! Their articulation and proportions are so well done. but the down side is that they are really pricey. (they come out to about $30 each)

Hehe! I'd like to go to Japan... but no money right now. Oh, I go to Little Tokyo a lot... its about $22-$24, but the Transformer ones are like $30. The store in Little Toyko is called Anime Jungle... here is there website: Convoy (http://www.animejungle.net/user/scripts/user/product.php?product_id=356) I buy them at conventions like Anime Expo or Comic Con... really good deals there because you can haggle. Won a few in a raffle this year at SDCC. I love the Fraulein stuff too... I want Yoko!

Okay I think the ones like yoko are a bit ;( but that's probably cuz I'm 12. Also 30 each is a bit much so I'll most likely go to Bigbad or Toywiz. I've also heard some nasty storys about the hands breaking off of the hand peg when pulling it out to change hands. Is that true? If so how do you prevent it?

I haven't had that problem with the hands. Yeah, it gets expensive... but I only buy the ones I want. The few I do have I got from SDCC like buy 2 get 1 free. There's a place out here I used to go to that gave me hook ups depending on which Revoltech. They range from like $15-$20, but I haven't been there in quite some time. :( Maybe I've lost my connection already... wah! haha jk

I've got a few. I'm really picky with what Japanese figures I buy, because they tend to be either pretty expensive or extremely tiny.

Generally speaking, and there are certainly some exceptions, but when it comes to buying figures I prefer western art style for males and eastern for females. I dunno why, I guess all the Japanese male characters look to similar to me while the western female ones do *shrug*

These are the only two I have at the moment:

I have a couple of Gundam fixes that i got over in Japan - much cheaper there. I'll take a pic sometime. The site isn't allowing me to up my pics tho - dunno if they're too large or what.

I'm into Kubricks. If you want a hobby where you can spend an outrageous amount of money for a little bitty figure, Kubricks is the line for you.
