Okay, this might not be the best tutorial, but i thought maybe it might help some people.
It doesn't have any IN PROGRESS pictures or anything, but i hope it will do...
A lot of people have been asking me how i made my customized Green Lantern box. It actually wasn't too hard... My box was done entirely on my computer. I set everything up how i wanted it, then i just printed everything out and glued them over the original box designs, making it my own. :)
For starters, if you don't already have a computer-generated mugg design, you just have to scan certain parts of the box into your computer, so you can work with them in photoshop. What i did, was scan in just the top "face" flap and the back panel of my Mace Windu box. I recommend scanning in at about 300 DPI, so you have a big image to work with. Then i erased parts that i didn't want (for example, on the back panel: the star wars logo, the name, etc.) Then you'll need to create your mugg design. Whether you draw it with tools on photoshop and color it in, cut and paste things from the internet, or draw it by hand and scan it into your computer.. It's all up to you. (If you don't already have the blank mugg outline, you can find it on the forum here.)

All i really used for my Green Lantern John Stewart design was the Line tool and Paint Bucket tool in photoshop, then i just drew over the Mace Windu design and filled the colors in. Since your scanned image will be around 3,000 pixels, you'll have to zoom in and out a lot to make sure you have a handle on how things are looking as you move along.
Basically the key to making a nice looking customized box, i've found, is measurements. I measured pretty much everything on the box. Once you have your design on photoshop, or whatever program suits you.. you just have to make sure the size of the image/design corresponds to the measurements of whatever part of the box you're working on. So for example.. The top "face" flap of the mugg boxes is about 5 1/2 in. wide. 3 1/2 in. tall. So when you're satisfied with your design for your top flap.. All you have to do is go and edit the image size (or document size) to those measurements.. Print it out, cut it out (make sure it's cut to size) and glue it right over the top flap. And there you go.. Professional looking top flap. The actual mugg design is about 6 1/2 in. wide X 7 1/2 in. tall. Do the same thing you did with the top flap. When you're satisfied with the design, edit the image size, print it out, cut it out (i prefer to leave a border around the outside like it is on the box.), and glue it right over the original mugg design. Although, make sure when you're doing so, to glue one side on, wait for it to dry and THEN fold it over the corner of the box and glue the other side. That way it has a solid anchor to hold onto, so it doesn't move around when you're trying to line up and glue the other side. Do that same thing with everything else (the name on the front of the box, the front logo, the mighty muggs logo, etc.) and you should have an awesome looking box in no time.
I hope this helps guys!
