This is the second Jack Skellington I've made because I am trying to perfect my take on him. I sound defensive because I feel defensive. I received a private message from an eBay user less than 3 hours after I posted it on eBay. critiquing my customization choices with this figure. He did so independently and unnecessarily. If I post it on a forum and ask for your opinion that's different but I didn't. You sought me out and forced your opinion on me. if you are eBay user yabemc, then that message is for you. I am pretty sure you belong to this forum because I think Ive seen your work posted on here, and I'm pretty sure no one on here told YOU what to make and what not to make.

Well here's the nice thing with doing repeat characters. The last Jack that sold had something like 36 bids so that means that 35 other people still really want that Jack Mugg. And that was my exact thought last night when I looked at its completed listing and decided that I too am gonna make a Jack:) Go for it my friend! He looks great

Yeah his user name here is Matthew Cabrera. He has never posted but he does send PMs, i received a PM from him just because I mentioned one of his muggs not "original". He also wanted me to check out his other muggs on ebay and make a comment about it here. Like I have to be forced to comment about his customs. I will voice out my own comment when i feel like it. He should just grow up and mind his own business. People can make what they want when they want. Da Vinci didn't critique Michelangelo what to paint and what not to paint during their time, why should anyone else. Just my 2 cents... Thanks

well...not sure what to say. This is now the second post about this guy. honestly I dont undersatand why he has to hassle other artists. He obviously has issues...with something. Regardless of this guys ability, I for one do not want to support him in anyway. If this keeps up, I think we should remove any reference to his muggs in the custom section. I dont have a problem with showing custom muggs...but not from a guy who just cant leave others be. sreiously, what does he expect? For all other customizers to quit making customs? Forget it. Everyone else will continue to get better and level the playing field. Everyday I am seeing new customizers and more talent. If he keeps up his antics he is bound shoot himself in the foot, no matter what custom he produces.

I would also like to add that the members here are doing a great job posting like adults and not letting the %^#$* hit the fan. Thanks for making your comments constructive and well manored. (sp?)

Yeah, I saw in the other thread(s) that he's an ass, making criticisms that aren't needed and telling others they copied/it's not good enough or whatever. I for one make sure not to purchase and support his cause because he acts like he does.
This is not to say I don't like his works. I think some are actually pretty cool, but it could be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and I'm just not going to want it. If he carried himself in a more respecting way, my opinion (as would all of us) would be different.

Hello Ninja Mugg,
Just wanted to clear up a few things. I had never said that people should stop customizing and if hastling members means be totally honest with their work then I'm guilty. I have every right to contact whoever I want via thread or private message. Ask around, I've made nice comments to people and also have given others pointers. I'm not the not so friendly person two people have made me out to be. If I listened to all those negative comments you guys made about me I would probably quit but I like to use negative responses into motivation to do better. In this business you're gonna see haters but that only makes the strong stronger. If people don't like my comments then that's their opinion but honestly I'm here only to customize, not to make friends. I have never posted up any of my work on this site nor did I enter the September contest to win cash or prizes so I can care less about whether you want to not comment or make references on my work or not. I thank that guy for comparing me to Da Vinci, but him as Michaelangelo? If there was one thing that I could take credit for it would be that I had something to do with seeing some customizers out there elevating their level of work. Complainers are only good at one thing and one thing only and that's complaining. Those are my two cents.

I personally havnt had any negative run ins with him, Someone did forward me a message where he said my work was "second rate" or something but he didnt say it to me personally so i dont really know if its true or not. Its when he goes out of his way to send a PM to me and others because we are critics for one reason or another. As he has mentioned we are free to say our opinions. But I never once went directly to him and said "you suck" or " your prices are to high"

For the record, I have never contacted him or written him back. And for him to "take credit" for getting other customizers to elevate there quality of muggs....give me a break. what a bunch of nonsense.

alrighty, i algree with vulcan. i think the best thing to do is ignore this guy. its unfortunate that there is someone out there being rude, and sending people rude messages or whatever. i have no clue who this guy is. i dont think he ever posts anything, so im not even sure what exactly he has said to you guys or how this all started.
i wouldnt give this guy any attention... i dont know what his goal is by sending these messages. but its best just to ignore him. we need to respect each other, and each others custom mighty muggs. you all seem to do such a great job, i have no clue how anyone could put anyone down.
i know its hard to ignore it, but i think its worth a try :)
