Hello from California

Hello folks, I reside in california and have been collecting Muggs for about a month now. It is a funny story though, since i work full-time for a retailer that carries every single Mugg and has been mentioned on this site (but they charge 20 bucks a Mugg). I remeber when the first wave came in, i thougt they were awesome, but even with my discount they were going to be about 15 dollars, and i already hadone collecting obession, Dunnies, which we also sell at my work. I didn't want my room to look like the 40-year-old virgins room, so held back on the purchases. That was until we got Ghostrider in, and that is how I became addicted to Muggs. Now I do most of my Mugging at Target; there are plenty to choose from and at least one will have the one you are looking for. Here we also have Walmart, TRU's and even K Marts to choose from. I just picked up Galactus the other day at Target after stopping at three other ones. Has anyone noticed, at least in California the price has gone up from 9.99 to 10.99 just in about two weeks? I guess they are getting ready for the holidays. I feel bad for letting some Muggs slip through my hands now that they are hard to find, and I will see them everyday, but that adds to the challenge for me. Oh, and I only collect the Marvel Muggs, not such a fan of the SW or Indy ones, yet they are awesome; I'm just trying to look out for my wallet, it has nothing to do with my girlfriend telling me I can't buy them.

And yea, I've noticed the $1 price jump... but the Star Wars muggs are still $9.99 at Target I think. Okay, well have fun here!

my prices have gone uo. on all lines. i also have TRU, Target, Kmart, and Shopko too i guess. AND Borders and Urban Outfittters... but they are farther away. well, welcome to the site! by the way, does your store have a venom? id buy!

If you guys try calling UO around the country, you'll probably find one. My gf found two this way. It's in meh thread I posted. Or you can wait for the rerelease.

I live in central california. I have collected the last three series of Dunnys; I only buy them until I get the few I want. My Mugg collection is pretty mild right now. Just like the Dunnys I only buy the ones I think are cool (sorry Thor). I only have galactus, b.s. spidey, human torch, ghostrider, silver surfer, and iron man. Going to add spidey, wolverine, dr. doom and the hulk to my collection soon. Right now my favorite is iron man, but that will change once i get the punisher. I feel stupid for letting venom and the thing slip through my hands. Good luck trying to find them in a UO, at least one person calls a week looking for venom. one of my co-workers called around one day trying to find one for a customer, he called like 20 stores and no luck. Besides, about 90% of people get b.s. spidey is venom confused anyway. thanks for the warm grettings.

I think everyone feels the same way about letting Venom slip through their hands. I only bought one thinking he'd be around for a while... then bam! he was gone. :( Yeah, that's me calling UO every other day lol... most of the time the person that picks up doesn't even know what Mighty Muggs are. Well, we'll all have Venom eventually... ;)

its weird, when i go to buy muggs i never see anyone buying them, but their always gone...and it sucks because i cant rush to TRU on their days of new shipments because i always work in the mornings and by 5pm the store has nothing but singing elmo's and a crapload of stuff that i dont need.

I never thought about calling the stores to see what they have in. That would depend if the staff was hepful though...

lol dude, they always ask me what is it? and i hate explaining what it is haha because i stutter like 50 times trying to explain. and whatnot, i mean i mainly love going to a store and not knowing whats there, but my urban outfitters is like in a area where random people like to cartwheel across the street while cars are driving. like its in some outlet called santana row, its soooo annoying haha, i remember one time a girl there knew what i was talking about and was a collector and i almost fell in love lol.

dude kid's shows nowadays are hella wierd! lol that show "chowder" and everything. i grew up with Fresh prince. pokemon, yu-gi oh, the x men and iron man tv show, nowadays theres only spongebob and nick at night that i watch.

anyone here watch heroes? i kinda wanna watch but i dont know if its worth buying the first few seasons haha because shows nowadays kinda are lame.

Dude, I love the show Heroes. I've been watching it every Monday since it first started. It's actually just 32 minutes before it starts :) This episode looks so good!
BTW, if you like the show and wanna catch up I would suggest buying the DVD's

i was thinking about buying em, i just wanted to know if it was good..because for some reason the show seems cool but at the same kind of a let down. i hate DC superheroes so i hated smallville. but this looks cool, but it reminds me of smallville somehow lol.

Some people consider last season a let down. However, I like all of them alot, and this season has been awesome. Not only do I like it but reviewers and bloggers alike agree that this season they really hit on what Heroes should actually be. This season is the best one yet.
Get on buying those DVD's so you can catch up! Hurry!
