Shipping prices?

Recently sent a mugg to a fellow mugger on the forum. I live in Houston, Tx and he in California. With shipping confirmation through USPS it came out to be over $8 to ship a 1lb 10oz box. Does that sound right to you guys? I've been reading the sell/trade threads here and it seems that shipping is around $4-5 max? Let me know those of you who are a bit more experienced than I am. Thanks!

When I ship with USPS its usually 10$, but I guess it depends on where your sending it. Sounds about right though

$8 is about the bottom end for priority with any packing at all. It's worth the extra cash, though. Parcel Post is terrible.

Do NOT send it by parcel. Ever see the opening scene of Ace Ventura? Well that's basically how they treat it.
Price depends how you ship it. I can ship a mug in a padded envelope by first class for $3. Or in a cardboard box via Priority for $8.

Well shipping is tricky, you want to seem fair when you ship, so $4 - $6 is the best bet...however I've been shipping out alot of Muggs lately and I got hosed on every shipment (meaning I paid more than my fellow muggers paid me). Not complaining at all, but it is something to consider before shipping numerous orders. Hope this helps!
