Funny how some are rare finds for one and easy for others. I can't find Asajj Ventress (or any clone wars ones), while others say they're easy finds. Grievous isn't too easy to find, but didn't need to stress too much to get him.

i have to have them sideways because they dont fit the other way.. but i agree, i like them from the side too! so it works out! i have some doubles for a few reasons:
some just look cool opened, yet i want a boxed one of each..
some doubles i opened, but kept the box.
and i bought an extra set of wave 4 marvels to trade, but i only sold the silver surfer so far, i might just keep the others.

:confused: I honestly don't know if my Stormtroopers are variants, mainly because I don't bother with variants. Don't get me wrong, if I happened to have one, I'd be happy, but I don't consider these variants missing from my collection. If you'd post some pics of the difference I could tell you. As for Venom, I'm going to be patient, and wait until that wave revision comes out.

The sleeping wolverine isn't a variant. I mean it's not like there are others out there. It just didn't have the eyes painted on and it probably shouldn't have made it out of the factory. I'm sure if hasbro didn't melt down the defected ones to use for other molds you would find a ton of "variants" in their trash bins.

i keep my receipts, if i find a mugg im looking for, i buy it, even if its kinda banged up, and i kinda rely on finding one at another store.
once i find one in better condition, i return the bad one. it works alot. sometimes it takes time to find one in better condition. and in that case, i buy the bad one.... finally find a good one. and if i dont have the first receipt, i just return the first one to the store where i bought the second one. kinda confusing to type i guess.

i have a few muggs that kinda have smudgy lines. it bugs me! but its so hard to be picky about both the mugg and the box! of course, i wouldnt buy a mugg that was too smudgy. sometimes i can only find one though, and if im missing it, i will more than likely buy it anyways... unless its really really bad! i have passed on a darth vader because it was horrendous. i wish people wouldnt touch them unless they are actually going to buy it. i also saw a hulk at TRU yesterday, and it was ripped open. i understand that some damage might come from shipping and whatnot, but its just rude when customers poke holes in them, and rip them open and stuff. it makes me sad and frustrated!

i got captain rex at target. i think i got it the day i took this picture! hehe. and commander cody, i had to drive about an hour to wal-mart (my wal-mart doesnt have much for muggs). but, i have seen cody at toys r us a few times... havent seen him in a long time. if i come across one, i will pick one up just in case you still need one. actually, if i come across either of them again, ill pick them up.

I was actually talking about this with my dad today. (Looks like my family took a liking to Muggs). He thinks I should try random stores like Walgreens, CVS, etc. Most of those stores sell toys so you never know...

you mean like open them? well, if thats what you mean, i like to have each one boxed, but i also buy some extras to open... especially if they would look cool open. i just had to get 2 thors!
i really like the boxes they come in... but seeing as i already have just about all the muggs, im kinda bummed because i dont have any to look for in stores, so im buying doubles. then i can have one boxed and one open. haha. sounds kinda weird, but thats just the way i am :)
im not going to buy doubles of all of them though. i had a hard enough time finding one Thing, and i paid $20 for him. if i saw one at target though or something, id buy it. its just kinda a weird situation. haha

well, i do have about 15 out of their boxes. im kinda working on buying some doubles right now. i really want another iron man to open. i would just hate to open them all, them regret it.
i kinda already went through that, i had about 15 muggs at the time, and i had them all open... then i changed my mind, and i wanted them boxed. so i had to kinda start from scratch.
i always thought the boxes were cool... yet i opened them. it sucks too because when i opened them i kinda tore the boxes. i knew i liked muggs from the beginning, i just never knew it was going to get to this point. haha, who knew?

I think I know what you mean. I sorta preserved my boxes so I could always put my Muggs back if I want. It's not like I need to tape them back in or anything. Just pop em back in if I think a display of the Muggs would look better.

i got my shelf at best buy... and i really like it! you can adjust the shelfs. so, i fit two muggs in each cubby. or if i display them sideways, i can fit 3 per cubby. i was thinking about getting another one because i need more room. but im just not sure yet.
the shelf comes in either the light-brownish or what ever i have and black. and they are about $80 i think.

Man that is awesome...I feel like a dork sometimes but this site makes me feel a little better. None of my friends even know I collect all this stuff, I buy 'em, and then set them up at my old bedroom at my moms house. The only toys I've got posted at my apartment are the Gorillaz vinyl sets from Kidrobot.com. yea, ive got alot more muggs since this picture. but my shelf ran out of room so the rest are just either piled on top the the self or piled next to the shelf. ugh, i dont know what to do.
i havent been able to update my pic either because i was having some uploading issues with my computer, but i just got a new one. so, i can update my pic now! i wanna get my new pic up soon! i have a few more that should be arriving in a day or so in the mail, so i might wait til i get those!

venoms- see contest. i have been hoarding them for forum members for quite sometime. sure, i could sell them on eBay but a contest is so much fun!

wave 4 marvels- i picked up an extra set (3rd set) in hopes of working out a trade with someone...so if anyone is interested shoot me an offer.

all other dupes- i have one boxed of every mugg, and pick up doubles of the ones i like, which is practically all of them! i love collecting muggs and love hunting for more, even if i already have one.

hi hemish! ive answered this a few times in the thread, but its ok to ask because i dont expect everyone to read everything.

duplicates- i love them open, but i love the boxed. so i make sure i get a boxed mugg for sure and a duplicate to open if possible. i actual threw away some boxes when i first begun collecting :eek: so i actually have two leias, c3pos, and others too.

army builders- not too impressive, but i have a few stormies and might build armies of others in the future.

extras to sell- i have a few extras to sell in the pic there. i think im fresh out though, as i sold some and "holding" a few more.

venoms- i held a contest and gave away 4 venoms (and a punisher). it was fun :)

thanks for checkin my muggs out and i will always answer questions for anyone. sometimes ill just PM the answer if it is a simple question, so i dont bump my thread too much.

i love muggs opened so much, but i love them boxed too. ive fallen into a trap of buying two of everything, opening my second one. i get just as excited finding one to open as i do finding my boxed one. i have been lucky finding two grievous' (i paid $15 for one at a Shopko).

thats a cute story :D. it took a TON of effort to acquire, its not like some of these targets that have 6 shock troopers and 8 teebos. only once did i find a store with 2 shocks at once. im proud of the army and glad others can appreciate it :)

its a healthy mix. i try to collect two of each (one to open, one to keep), but then there are the ones i have customed over (mostly blanks, however), and army builders, etc. all the boxes are not pictured, as i need to use some for my opened muggs
