Here is a link to my idea of what he will look like. (http://loot-ninja.com/2008/09/26/loot-ninja-mighty-muggs-in-the-works/)

He is an original design of my own that I drew some inspiration from Storm Shadow and my wife says looks a bit like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

Any thoughts or comments?

Ninja Muggs are awesome!! Cant wait for Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes!

It is my first try at a custom so it may take me a while. I got 4 blanks just in case I screw them up along the way.

Good concept so far. Cant go wrong with ninjas. My honest opinion is that you should either splurge on going the extra distance to make it really stand out as an attention grabber in your collection. Go for strong colors, finish with a nice gloss, or even make some katanas or accessories or something. I have a whole shelf of customs from other artists right now but the one im working on, well lets just say I wont stop until its the best out of all of em.
Too bad Jeta set such a damn high bar already haha.
Good luck and have fun!

Thanks. SInce it is the mascot to my website I want to make sure it looks good. I like the gloss paint idea. I will definitely need some katanas of some kind.

Yeha I took the storm shadow look and tweaked it a bit since my Loot Ninja kiind of looks like him. I have already penciled him and the box and was thinking of going over it with marker now.

Do you guys recommend paint markers or regular paint and brushes? I think my skills with markers is better than brushes.

Dude it looks like a great mock-up. Good luck painting. I had trouble my first time but yours looks like a relatively simple paint job. I love the eyes and shoes on your dude. Reminds me of Marvel's Iron Fist.

Reminds me of Marvel's Iron Fist.

Probably because he repainted my Iron Fist drawing lol I like how you put a watermark so nobody would copy it =)

well, no wonder it reminded me of iron fist. cmon man, thats not cool. Are Jay spent time making the mock up and you used it, called it your own, and didnt give him credit.

Busted. And your watermark does no good in the corner of the pic not covering much of the actual image. Next time create your own concepts.

In all fairness. Muggs shape are a lot alike and if he was going for a ninja mugg he would pic the best "ninja type" mock-up on the net. Whatever. I mean if you didn't want people to use it why did you post your mock-up in the first place.

I get where you're coming from but if you have the time to re-color the whole image, why not just make one from scratch? and how would you feel if you were in an art show and you painted a picture. Then someone else traces your picture and changes one thing and calls it their own and puts it up for display???
kinda cheated right? just because its there doesnt mean you have to 'borrow' it

I Get all sides. I was just playing devil's advocate. Really I dont care. I'm working on some serious custom mugg action right now.

Hey I am sorry dude, I didn't know Are Jay from a hole in the wall, I went online and did a google image search for a blank one and then went from there. Actually the one I took and used for my avatar is not even what I will be using I just liked the way he looked after I modified it and kept it as my avatar. It took me a ton of time to modify in paint and the watermark is a default option when I put things up on my site, not something I put on there myself.

Are Jay made a sweet Deadpool and Ironfist, many props to you buddy. Sorry if you feel like I ripped you off, that wasnt my intention. Well things turned awkward here, perhaps I should leave the forums.

That's the way the world is. If you put something up for display then other people have the right to use it unless you have a copyright or something, which I doubt you do. Next time don't post the drawing unless you don't plan on complaining if someone steals it. I'm not saying it's cool to steal it, as a matter of fact he shouldn't have or atleast given credit. Next time realize that your work is at risk next time you post it.
Who cares really we are all here to have fun with Muggs. You should be flattered he liked your work enough to use it.
