I bought 2 BLACK BLANKS from hasbro and I was a little disappointed that it didn't come disassembled. If these are truly made for fans to customize their own Muggs I think they should have made them easier to assemble and disassemble... Especially because they cost the same amount as retail.
It would almost be easier to buy a shelf warmer Mugg (Indiana Jones line) that might come with extra accessories and prime them with balck or grey spray paint. That way you get more for your money (even at 10.99 - no shipping cost) and a better box to template to make your own.
Not really a gripe...
Just a thought.
what are all of your thoughts?

I've been priming all the muggs that I use for customizing. I would think it would be easier to paint a blank mugg, but you do lose out on the accessories.

I said it a long time ago, that the blank muggs should come primered. If they dont then whats the point. as you said might as well get something with accessories like grevios or thor or vader. A Helmet and weapon or cape.

I agree whole heartedly. Finding cheap (Indiana) muggs is relatively painless (especially since you dont have to pay hasbro for shipping) priming them (spray paint) and you also get the accessories. Win Win.

sorry, im gonna disagree. most mighty muggs are the normal body type so there is no need to sell the muggs dissassembled. I think that would turn off more people than it would attract

I just got the blank white Mighty Muggs and they are awesome and easy to customize. I started stenciling on it right away with a pencil.

for me this is a bad idea.. how come they have the same price over the painted ones.. i was expecting that they come cheaper than the painted ones coz there are no license of characters involve plus it has no accessories.. i would rather buy some loose muggs to customize

thats exactly what I thought when I heard they were making blanks. I was hoping they would be like $8.
But since they are only sold on HTS , I think thats the reason for the price hike.
I guess Hasbro thought these wouldnt sell well in stores. I for one, think that these would be really popular if put in the art section, per say.
maybe is online sales are good enough, Hasbro will ship these blanks to stores as well.

they definitely need to make them a bit cheaper.

Yeha I guess you are right, they should be cheaper since you dont get any accessories.

Not all the character muggs have accessories though and they are all the same price?

well in this case those blank muggs should be cheaper even though it has no accessories but because it has no paint.. hasbro didnt even pay any royalties or license or whatever you call it.. that is why they should be cheaper than those painted ones

Agreed. I love the blank muggs. But I am not paying the same price for them when I could get a mugg with accessories.
