In my first mod I needed to customize Thor's helmet. I want to share with everyone what it looks like.
I first cut off the wings with my leatherman knife blade.(to save them for possible use later) then I used a grinder to sand down the helmet. and then sandpaper to give it a smooth finish. Once covered with sculpy or something, sanded and primered it will be ready to go.

that helmet or hair (whatever its going to be in the end) will be really nice looking when done.
does anyone else find it kind of difficult to smooth some sculpting medium over a mighty mugg head (or another part with soft plastic) ?

haha my helmet is all bumpy and what not...i couldnt get it smooth what so ever haha... i need to buy some sanding paper and smooth it out...
Anyone know what type of sanding paper to get?? i'm assuming one thats rough to take it down and one thats fine to smooth it out?

yeah, get a really rough one to smooth out the large bumps and then get really fine grit sand paper to do the really subtle things. I find that a block of the fine sand paper does wonders because with the finer grit stuff, you will have to sand more to get the desired smoothness

yeah you want to get some really gritty stuff for the bumps. I used a grinding wheel. Then I used some really fine sand paper to finsih it. 1800 or 2000 grit. will be really smooth after that.

You could make a Flash. You could paint the wings yellow and they would look like lightning bolts.
