Line cancelled?

There is a rumor going around online that the line has been cancelled. Anyone hear anything about this? If true my guess if that we we will see some of Wave 3 probably only on Hasbro's site as they must have been in production. Also I'm sure Shortround and Sallah will still come out.

They have cancelled pre-orders and said this
"Hasbro has just informed us that this item has been cancelled and will not be produced. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have cancelled all preorders and removed the item from our site"

I absolutely LOVE Mighty Muggs. That being said, I've not really thrilled by this line. I've mentioned this in other posts. I felt the need to get these though because I like every other line, and can't just ignore just ONE line. Now that this is out of the way, I can concentrate my efforts on SW, Marvel, Joe, and Transformers. I can officially say I'm happy about this.

That just means there will be more Muggs for us to create as customizers for collectors. It's a need that we must fill as customizers. It's our mission to be sure collectors get what they need to finish off their collections. Can I hear an amen?

I just want the ones they have pictures for... and Marion. That's it. Perhaps if Sallah and Shortround sell well enough EE can sell the others as exclusives. Might take a while though. I think our best bet might be an online store making them exclusive but few have the kind of business where they could do it. I Hope hasbro themselves but giving the poor sales of the Idol exclusive it probably won't happen. I also had an idea that perhaps a smart customizer might take the character designs already done and make a limited number of each one.

Has anyone seen the Punisher Mugg? I haven't been able to find any, although I've found the Human Torch, Galactus, and Silver Surfer. I thought he was coming out with them.

thats becauase the Punisher and Jigsaw arent out yet and they are going to be exclusive to TRU. They are supposed to be out "Oct '08"

I've been going to the Targets around my area and they only seem to be putting out 1 of each of the Human Torch, Galactus, and Silver Surfer in each store. Seems like they cut back on the Marvel Muggs. I did find a Stormtrooper at one of the stores. woo hoo! I needed him.
