Scout Trooper and Wave 9

Check the current mailer catalog for Entertainment Earth. They show a sneak peak pic of the new Scout Trooper. Looks great. I know those of you who seemed excited about it won't be disapointed. They said they will reveal the other three images on Feb 25th.

The other interesting thing is they say that the Qui-Gon wave, and the secret Scout Trooper wave that follows will be a "shared exclusive", and not available in big box stores.

Maybe that is why we are seeing so many Star Wars Muggs still unaccounted for (Gamorean Gaurd and Old Ben), some will be standard releases, others "only at Target" and now to find out these new waves are likely only at Entertainment Earth (who are they sharing with?)

side note - they had pics for Shockwave and Jazz - it either printed before they pulled wave 3, or they are figuring out a way to un-cancel TF wave 3. Let's hope for the best.

this is NOT entertainment earths wave (wave 8 or this next wave). they arent the ones sharing it. when they say "shared exclusive" they mean BBTS, EE, Big Easy, etc., all can sell these muggs, but retail stores cannot.

as for ANOTHER wave so early, all i have to say is wow. just wow. im excited for the 25th. the announcement will be a great birthday surprise to my muggin husband.

ahhh. that was what i figured. Shared with specialty stores and web stores, but not Meijer, Walmart or Targets.

Also, something i forgot to mention is it said this upcoming secret wave with the Scout Trooper is the first of four "never before Mugged" figures. So I assume that means no alternate/variant characters - so I doub't Hoth Luke will be in this one like someone leaked.

I disagree. There are those who don't read posts from eons ago. And it's fun and games with Vinyl. He can buy all he wants. But supply is supply and letting people know not to let the opportunity pass them by - well there ain't nothing wrong with that.

That rumor was debunked. It could still be part of this line-up but the fact that it was listed in EE, BBTS, and other toy catalogs months ago does not mean that it is happening. It is merely a mistake made by the people who made the catalog who mistakenly took the Shadow Stormtrooper for a TIE Pilot.

no. this isnt an EE exclusive. just like wave 8, wave 9 is a "shared exclusive" meaning that they are exclusive to all web retailers, not just EE.

So, are we concluding that the new wave that can be purchased at target includes only Teebo, Shocktrooper, snowtrooper, biggs, and bossk? and that ben kenobi and gamorrean guard are part of the entertainment earth shared exclusive also featuring hoth luke and the scout trooper (biker scout)? while wicket is included in the other shared exclusive with the wampa, imperial guard, and qui gon jinn?

If this is the case they sure didn't make it easy to figure out by putting assorted different combinations of the pics on the back of the new boxes... I got the first five easy, but then have been trying to figure out why I couldn't find the g guard, wicket, or ben... I am guessing that the above is why...any confirmation?

And why oh why have they still not made a greedo?

and one more thing, does anyone else think it might be kind of kick ass if they did an r2-d2 mugg? I realize they would obviously have to change the shape of the mugg completely, but if r2-d2 is the only one that they make a shape change for, I could live with that... and really, will any star wars collectible set be complete without an artoo?

the target exclusives mighty muggs are just that: target exclusives. wave 8 of star wars (aka wave one 2009) is Royal Guard, Wicket, Qui-Gon, and Wampa. Wave 9 (wave two 2009) is old ben, g. guard, hoth luke, and scout trooper. the target exclusives are not in any wave, they are just labeled as "exclusives."

Waves 8 and 9 are "shared exclusives" and have nothing to do with EE, except for the fact that EE is one of the web retailers that are carrying them.

they're a lot different actually....almost the same helmet but with those tubes attached to the box that a lot of the pilots in star wars wear...they also have a different suit...no armor like a regular storm/shadow trooper...

I can't wait to find more scout troopers...but I bet if they become available for preorder again they will be for a higher price on bbts.com...probably in the 14.99-17.99 range. :( 12.99 was a good price to scoop these troopers up :(

darn - i'm too slow on the BBTS. A buck is a buck!

So here's something I don't get - Mighty Muggs are made by Hasbro. So why do other websites (such as BBTS, EE) gets to sell the pre-orders first, and HTS doesn't even have it on their website?

correct me if i'm wrong but shops get to place an order of how many they want (before release date). therefore they know before hand how many they're getting before they receive them. so they are able to accept pre orders.
