My first Mugg was a spiderman mugg that I later opened not even 20 minutes of owning it and making myself a mugg out of it. I currently have 0 real muggs in my collection except the extras fro customs and have about 9 Customs I've made lol

Venom. I've been fighting my urge to buy these for a while. Then I saw Venom and he looked so cool. I went home and found out how rare he was and my girlfriend actually talked me into going back and getting him. The plan was to buy just a few as I made money on ebay. Currently I have them all except Silver Surfer. Damn it, heh.

I just bought my first Mugg online a couple days ago, Dr. Doom. I was contemplating whether to buy these or not and if my girlfriend would kill me if I did. But she saw me browsing photos of them and she asked what they were. I showed and explained what they were. She seemed to like them so I went ahead and ordered Dr. Doom. Have the Variant that they only made about 20 of as well? Everybody seems to forget that one. I think it's wolverine but im not sure.Not allowed on the "other" board anymore :P

What variant do you speak of? Honestly, I'm not much of a variant man. I just want to have one of each character. If it's not a huge difference, I don't consider it to be a different mugg. For example, 2-eye vs 4-eye Vader or brown-hat Indiana Jones vs different brown-hat Indiana Jones. It's the same character, but not a significant difference to make me have to have it. I'll pick up the unmasked Vader and Tuxedo Indiana Jones, though. They're completely new figures in my book.

A friend of mine was choosing among all the hot wheels at wal-mart but I got bored and I went to see what other toys there were, but when I saw Boba, damn! I inmediately grabbed it and return where my friends were telling "this one's coming home with me".
10 minutes later I was opening the box in a McDonald's xD unfortunately the top "cover" is all messed up because of my recklesness.

Now I want more and more, but so far I could only buy Darth Vader, there's not much cool muggs around, lots of solos, chewies and stormtroopers, I'm planning to buy Darth Maul.

The first time I ever saw muggs I also spotted a Venom among them, and that was all it took! His red Kiss-esque tongue, it stopped my heart! Venom has always seemed underrated to me, and done wrong in Spidey 3, so I had to have him. I've gotten 4 more since then, and two blanks, I'm very selective in the ones I get, because I have limited space! But I've chosen well! And there are still some out there I'm trying to find! But yay for Venom getting me hooked!

my first mighty mugg was darth vader. he was so cute sitting on the shelf, and i just had to take him home. for the longest time i just had him and boba fett. but once i got one more, i just ended up buying more and more. at first i only collected the star wars muggs, then i had most of them at the time, so i started collecting the marvel muggs... it sucks because ive picked up venom so many times, and never ended up buying him. i will always regret that :( i also used to unbox all of mine, then i decided that i want them boxed, so i had to re-buy them... i think i only had 9 at that time anyways. oh well...

mine is a loose jango and boba fett. both turned into customs too.. but the very first MOC that i got was Darth Maul which is very rare here in the Philippines. Luckily i got it for a very cheap price.

I told a friend about it and she was like oh yea they are only $10 at Target! So I got Boba Fett for me and Darth Vader for the bf. Now I think we're only missing like 4... woohoo! ...that is until the other waves and lines come out. I keep getting them thinking, "It's only $10." Then realize like 40 muggs later its $400+ with tax and stuff. Yikes! All worth it i say... ;)

Well, i saw mighty muggs when i was fixing isles at the toy department for K-mart. My manager told me to go fix the toy isles and once i reached the action figure section there were star wars mighty muggs everywhere. I was like wow they look pretty cool, but that didn't really gave me enough motivation to buy one. But two days ago, I saw an ironman and captain america just shimmering out of the shelves. I was ecstatic how captain america look pretty tight so i decided to buy it the next day but unluckily captain america and iron man vanished, they were gone, it was sad. But, I that didn't stop me, I decided to buy clone commander cody for $11.50, that's with tax. Today, i decided to go to Toys R Us, as i entered the store it was almost empty. I searched for the marvel muggs, but they only had indiana jones wave and star wars wave. There was a 20% discount so i decided to buy indiana jones and lando, the total cost was $17.95. And that's my story, how i got into these damn muggs. I'm afraid i will not stop buying them. I bought three already in the span of two days.

How do you guys customize your muggs? do you pain them or something

QFT. I saw muggs a long time ago and have always wanted to collect them but never picked one up. My wife knew how much I liked them and she got me my first one for my birthday. Two weeks later I had blown over $100 on muggs. Sill counting. I think I am up to 30 now.

Ask a (useless) walmart employee where the clearance section is. There is usually a whole other clearnce section for toys but it depends on your specific branch. Good Luck.

I'm so happy this thread took off. I'm glad I started it, I really was just so interested in what peoples' first mugg was but mostly why. There are so many different muggs out there that whichever one you pick reveals a little about you. Its cool. I'm glad a lot of you participated. Keep posting! Yay!

dr.doom... would have been fett, but i couldn't find him... and in my dispair, there i found the dr. himself... wooing me into buying him & taking him home....... followed by iron man, and now, well too many to mention. :)

I've decided to buy only customs from now on, and to start turning my collection of regular muggs into my own characters as well... all except for dr.doom, and venom, and bespin luke, and ..... :)
