We've got stormtroopers, shadowtroopers, and a crap ton of clone troopers. How about some old skool love in the form of Scout Troopers with their trusty metal steeds aka SPEEDER BIKES!!
This could be the very first vehicle available for mighty muggs. It would also be an easy money maker to put Luke or Leia on one, too.
Other possibilities: Landspeeder, skiff, swoop bike, etc. I doubt we'll ever get X-wings or TIE-fighters because you can't see the pilots' muggs, but with the ones that I've mentioned, I think Hasbro might make an exception. :D

A speederbike would be cool. Also a At-At :D
Love to see one of them but you'd probably need a crap load of Muggs to do it.

So I was reading from fellow forum members that adding lights, vehicles, or other features are overkill for Mighty Muggs and that Mighty Muggs are supposed to be Hasbro's rendition of Urban Art Vinyl. I've never collected urban art, nor do I know much about it. I do know about collecting, however. I collect what I like and I display my pieces in a way that captures the energy of the characters as far as the medium can take it.
For example, I collect statues. These are purely for display. I have glass cases that I dedicate to full-size Marvel characters, which are accompanied tastefully with a comic that has the character on it. Regardless of whether people look at them as investments or not, I display my pieces with pride. The interesting note about the realm of statue-collecting is that some of the most popular "display pieces" have lightup features. Look into the Sideshow Collectibles X-men vs Sentinel Exclusive #1, Stealth Iron Man commiquette, Hulk vs Spiderman Exclusive, or the premium format Star Wars characters with light-up lightsabers. They're quite popular and unique.
I also have collected cheaper renditions of characters in the form of action figures, 12" figures, and smaller scale versions, such as Galactic Heroes and Superhero Squad figurines. These are all found in the toy aisle, just like Mighty Muggs. At the heart of the matter, they're all toys. I believe the age group for Mighty Muggs are ages 6 and up. Toys come in all shapes and sizes. Some make sounds, some have magnets in them, some light up, and others have accessories and vehicles. They're marketed to kids and adults, alike.
The cool feature about Mighty Muggs is the fact that it is not the sculpt that defines the character, rather the paint application. However, I feel that some characters demand their respective treatment. If they produce Cyclops, I want a light-up optic blast. Ghost rider should have come with his bike and chains. Produce some muggs with translucent parts. Why do they all need to be cookie-cutter? I've seen countless toy-lines expand and evolve, with little or no complaint from the people doing the buying. I honestly don't see what the big deal is making suggestions to an already amazing toyline. I'm excited about the lines in the works and want to share my thoughts on how to make them even better.
Anyway, how do you classify Mighty Muggs? Toys? Affordable alternatives to statues? Display-only?
In the long run, I see these as toys first, collectibles second. I'm not going to re-sell them. I display them proudly and appreciate the craftsmanship of each one made. Often, I find myself thinking how I might make my displays even cooler. Why not let your imagination run wild and see how far Hasbro can take the world of Mighty Muggs? I'm sure Urban Art Vinyl has had some innovations over-time, too!

well, they are considered designer toys... thats what ive read from many sites. just the term "designer toys", to me, makes them seem display only. i suppose they are also statue like. i would definitely consider them as collectables before toys. i just dont see little kids playing with with them, pretending they are shooting each other. but it dont have kids, im sure people with kids see this! hehe. appreciate them however you want :)
and about the "cookie-cutter thing", i personally prefer mighty muggs this way. that way, they all come in the same size box. they just look so uniform on my shelf.... even my open ones! .... all lined up like little soldiers ..... so cute

To me they are collectible toys/action figures (to my gf, they are "dolls" (to make me mad)). I buy them because they are not too expensive (not cheap though), they are cool, I haven't collected anything in years, and enjoy the hunt. I have mine on display in the boxes (for now). I'm sure kids would play with them but with some many options for kids they probably aren't on the top of the list.
But I have to disagree with you on lights and add ons. Muggs are meant to be simple. I don't want lights because that could raise the price and whats the point if its on display. Ghost Rider does not need a bike. How would he sit on it and what would it look like? If it can't fit in the regular box then it shouldn't be included.
If an add on is a small item like a gun or item that is meant to be held then I want it included. Silver Surfer's board is small enough and simple enough to be included. If Green Goblin is made then I would expect his board because it could fit in the box.
I will agree with you though on translucent parts. I would love to see Muggs with the same material that the Human Torch has on his head. Not clear but not regular. Apply that to Iceman or Invisible Woman and it would be awesome.
And litepink is right, they all look better being uniform.

i was thinking the exact same thing at PenguinoMF: use the translucent material to make invisible woman! that would be cool. another thing about Mighty Muggs ( and ive mentioned this before ) but if lights and things like that were added, they wouldnt be made out of 100% recycled awesome! i say, hasbro keeps it simple, and if you wanna jazz up a custom mugg, go for it! but i wouldnt expect hasbro to add lights, or vehicles or anything like that.

for my opinon. Muggs is an art just like a drawing on a sketch pad. Adding lights, sounds, will turn them something that we already have. Hasbro is offering us something new. They made lots of toys with sounds and lights so they are making something new that will keep our interest on their lines. When Hasbro creates mighty muggs, i think they don't want us to look on their poseability, accessories, features.. they want us to look on how they painted the recycled materials and make them look good!
Your suggestions are very good. Not impossible.. but if they do that what will be the difference of this muggs to other toys that hasbro made?

and to add up.. that's the purpose of the blank mighty muggs.. for us to unleashed the art inside our minds (ok i need another cup of coffee) :D

I don't see Muggs as toys, nor as Action Figures... they're collectables. Hasbro adds some sort of cuteness to cool characters, but keepin' them "tough" at the same time, they just made the perfect mix, cool and "cute" but not childish, simple but awesome, and (kinda) affordable enough to collect them. You gotta love muggs!!!
Hoorray for Muggs!!!!!!! =DDDDDD

i agree with you all.. for me muggs is not a toy or an action figure.. there is no need to have them articulated or have them with action features or light up eyes because we already have them in the form of those six inch action figures with action features etc.. for me i decided to collect muggs specifically marvel muggs coz i am a marvel action figure collector.. i have collected lots of em..i am not saying i grew tired of action figures but for me this concept of migthy muggs is so fresh for a marvel collector like me.. and i appreciate those DESIGNER TOYS out there the simplicity the art is just awesome but sometimes some of them are way over the edge.. as much as i would like to indulge myself into this DESIGNER TOYS some of them are just unfamiliar to me.. but thank GOD hasbro came with this idea.. now i can indulge myself in URBAN ART VINYLS without forgetting my roots.. so there nothing beats simplicity..

Wouldn't it be funny if they made Mighty Mugg vehicles and lame at the same time :p
I posted this in another thread:
Maybe they should make a Taun Taun Mugg For Solo to ride and maybe just maybe this time he decides forget saving Pathetic Hoth Luke and ride over to the strip club like he wanted to
Although, you know if they ever made Mugg vehicles that would be cool, but they would be way to big...yeah thats a dumb idea
"Fly your Luke Mighty Mugg around in this 4 foot X-wing. It comes with a 2 gallon jug of Spackle to repair your walls!"
"Break your house in minutes!"

Although, what if they made Mini-Muggs, maybe around 3 inches tall, then they could rock out in vehicles! YEAH! ha :)

This sounds a little iffy, I believe that taun tauns would be cool muggs, but muggs vehicles just seems to be difficult what with their lack of movable leggs, how would they even begin to drive? (haha, I accidentally wrote leggs at first but now that I think about it, it fits!)

yah lets just keep it simple and no vehicles eh?

once you start adding weird vehicles and gimmicks it gets out of hand and less entertaining, I can see accessory packs for more fun times, but vehicles, I'm ok without, is that just me?

vehicles might work if they were super deformed also. like luke's x-wing was only six or seven inches... just big enough for the muggs to fit in from the waist down. but then it would only work for single-passsenger vehicles.

please please please no vehicles. I think the coolness of muggs would go down in my opinion and end up looking like a toddler toy

They would cost too much to produce, unless they picked very few. I would dig a M. Falcon! That would be HUGE though! :)

Love to see one of them but you'd probably need a crap load of Muggs to do it.
I could see an AT-AT working. Because Muggs lack possibility so much, speeder bikes could be hard. They need a place to stand. With an AT-AT Snow Troopers could be placed inside or something.
But I personally think Mighty Muggs just aren't made for vehicles.
