How about light-up muggs?

Okay....I love unique displays. I'm a huge fan of Sideshow Collectibles statues, particularly the Marvel Versus Line. If anybody has seen X-men vs Sentinel #1, it's a true work of art. It's also one of the few pieces that light-up.

I dunno how many folks had a chance to see the customized Iron Man with lightup chest and faceplate, but it was REALLY cool.

If Hasbro decided to produce a line of light-up muggs, would you be interested?

What if they cost a little more?

What characters would you like to see?

Do you want batteries or a multi-mugg AC adapter?

I'm seriously interested in this.....it doesn't only apply to the muggs themselves, either. I also want to see light-up lightsabers or other accessories.

I saw someone a little while ago who made an Iron Man Mark 1 with a lite up center. I was full o' jealousy.

a chargeable battery attached inside would be perfect. just like how a chargeable flashlight works.

Seems like lights are becoming an increasingly popular trend among the Mugg community! WOOOT! :cool:

I'm glad I'm not sounding so much like a heretic anymore. lol

I just wanted to reiterate that if the lights are done right and are appropriate for the character, they can definitely enhance a display. As we've seen with previous customs, i.e. light-up Iron Man, Mysterio, Jack-O-Lantern, and Ghostrider, we can end up with some pretty damn impressive light-up features.

Here's some other ideas that I wouldn't mind seeing in the future:


Cyclops with LED optic blast
Psylocke with light-up telekenetic blade
Cable with light-up eye
Sentinel with light-up eyes, chest, and hands
Galactus with light-up eyes
Any Jedi/Sith with light-up lightsabers
Vader with lightup chestplate
Palpatine/Dooku with light-up force lightning


They can still be simple, yet unique. Lights, IMO, are not over-kill on the Mugg design. I just figured, since we've been getting a bit more frequent posts about the subject, this might be worthwhile to bring up again.

What other characters could you see given a custom light-up treatment? How else might we enhance our Mighty Mugg displays? :D

Keep on imagining, folks! That's what this hobby (both collecting and customizing) is all about! :)
