Okay....hear me out.
Who would like to hang Spiderman or Venom from a mirror or a window?
How about rigging it so that Wolverine could scale a wall with his claws?
I kinda want to hang Spiderman upside down using magnets.
Heck....I think magnets or suction cups could really lead to some interesting display setups.
Other characters I think could use this feature:
Doc Ock
Nightcrawler (it'd be cool to make his tail into a hook or something)
Black Cat (she could swing by a grappling hook)
Beast (I wouldn't mind hanging him upside down)
I know it's not for all characters, but I think it'd be neat to try out. I'd like to hear what everybody thinks.

You have some good ideas there... I actually have a set of heavy duty magnets... I might have to look into glueing one ont he bottom of a spiderman and seeing what I can do

The Only and i mean only issue i have with this (personally AWESOME) idea is that while it would add awesome posing options to our mugg displays it would also encourage more play with the muggs where i believe they should be a collectors item to be posed customized and not chewed on by four year olds. I'm all for it but I'm worried about what suction cups could lead to in the future for muggs.

I actually put a small magnet into one of the heads of a mighty mugg I'm customizing, so I could connect an accessories to it. I had to drill a hole completely through. The magnet is flush with the surface of the head, so I can paint over it and hopefully hide it.
I was thinking of making a customized Mary Jane, just so I could hang Spidey upside down in a kiss scene like the movie and use some stronger magnets where their lips meet to connect them together. :)

What an awesome Idea! I think it was the grappling hooks and swinging webs idea that was getting me to dread the play mode thing. But I love the kiss scene idea. Cant wait to see it.

Well, call me old fashioned but I like Mighty Muggs the way they are. Arms on their side, standing right side up.
If they were manufactured this way I think this starts to make muggs tacky. There beauty is in there simplicity.

I'm wondering what calibur of magnet will be needed for something like this to work.

Most craft stores have magnets with sticky tape, so all you have to do is peel and stick. They come in different sizes.

Guess what?
I found Large Suction Cups that can support the weight of a Mighty Mugg!
These would have to be glued onto the feet (or wherever) after a tad bit of dremeling is done.
and these suction cups have little tabs on them so they easily peel off the surface they are sticking to so you dont risk ripping the suction cup off of the figure itself.
if anyone wants, I can post a pic of the leg (yes, leg) that the suction cup was tested on.

okay, ill post some pics tonight or tomorrow. and i dont have a spiderman figure. but the suction cups do have a webbing design on them so they would be perfect for spidey.

notice the tab on the bottom of the suction part. It makes removing the suction cups off of a surface very easy.
and these suction cups stick to glass, polished wood, painted wood, and plastic shelves. Just about everything in my room that i tried to stick it on could hold up the mugg. the walls were the only things it wouldnt stick to
