painting - take apart or leave together?

I have a question about painting. Do you guys take them apart or leave them together to paint?. If you leave them together whast the best method of painting so the arms are still movable without ripping the paint around the joint?

Hmmm well I'm doing my first custom now and I sprayed the entire guy and now I'm painting him without taking him apart and I havent really run into paint ripping around the joints... I'm assuming since the limbs not really move in and out it wont be that much of an issue.

I will keep you posted on what I see as the week goes on

i think paint chip off is not a problem in painting muggs. you can paint it as a whole without having major problems.
