Hey, we're getting a Qdoba here! Is it any good. Better than Chipotle? How do you pronounce it?

its ok, I like the chicken better at Chipotle, but the steak is better at Q-Doh-Baa :) I am not a fan of the Queso at Qdoba though and I like they way the roll it better at Chipotle. They are both good in their own right.

now your making me hungry for Chipotle!

No, your making MEEEE hungry for Chipotle. Do they rush you at yours? Every worker tries to guess what we want.

"Cheese and Sour Cream!?" (as they hover a scoop of salsa over your burrito).

Slow day so i will ost a review of the kidrobot simpsons figures that arrived at work today!
Our first lot of these cool toys arrived at work today. I ordered 2 and a couple of the guys got 1 each. http://kidrobot.com/2008/simpsons/

To recap they are 3 inch collectable vinyl art toys each sold blind. The figures are packaged randomly with a different chance of getting each figure. There are 24 to collect costing £5 each plus postage. You can order them off e bay opened but this takes the excitement out of opening them. Plus the prices are based on their rarity hence can be very expensive (Bumblebee Man went for £96 yesterday!) Most the non rare ones cost about £12-£14 once postage from America has been factored in.

We each chose our toys carefully. I let the others pick first leaving me with the remaining two boxes. The boxes are great with some stylised artwork on the front and all the figures with pics listed on the side. It even says the ratios which they are packed which helps collectors because usually this info is kept secret making you buy more!

Once opened each box contained a sealed Simpson’s logo emblazoned foil bag. Before I opened the bag I had a quick feel as if it was Christmas to see if I could work out who I had. My instincts immediately told me this was either Lisa or Maggie as I felt the crown like spiky head. Lisa is packed 1/12 and Maggie is packed 1/24 so obviously I would rather have Maggie due to collectability and because Lisa is rubbish. I opened the pack with my eyes shut and lifted it towards my nose. I drew in a breath of sweet plasticy goodness and then placed my fingers inside. On opening my eyes I could see an orange dress. It was Lisa. D@mn. Luckily on delving further into the shiny packet I found two other gifts. One was a prop and in this case was a saxophone on a bit of string. This fits snugly over Lisa’s shoulder and makes a great addition. Secondly was a 3 inch square sticker of the character in the same art style. Again a worthy addition to the package. Ultimately I was disappointed in my choice as it was one of the least rare and lamest characters.

However I still had my second box……….

I followed the same routine as before. This time I couldn’t decipher who it could be from touch alone. I quickly peeled back the seam of the shiny bag to reveal none other than Scratchy!! A great find and one of 4 characters with a ratio of 1/48. A great blind pick! His prop is an oversized hammer which fits snugly in his hand.

The other guys got a Marge and Homer each. Both of which have a 1/12 in chance so I Definitely got the best box!!

I also had a meat beast whopper for lunch which wasnt very nice!

never heard about those kidrobut stuff. To be honest, after MANY years of watching the simpsons, video games, t-Shirts, and saying "Dont have a cow man" about a million times, I am burnt out on the simpsons. But they are cool nontheless.

I like some of the kidrobot stuff just its expensive. Plus there are loads of them...... The market for this is relativly large though and some of the top artists are quite famous within Kidrobot collecting circles.

Loads of hardcore Kidrobot fans are up in arms over a kidrobot simpsons crossover claiming that the company has sold out bla bla bla. I think theyr are sweet though!arge though and some of the top artists are quite famous within Kidrobot collecting circles.

I think Hasbro have created the Mighty Muggs as a way to sort of cash in on that booming market. They have more crossover appeal as the franchise fans will buy them making them alot more mainstream than the kidrobot stuff which is quite niche. Plus Muggs are more easily available and have a better price point.

Those are awesome vinyls! I've seen them for a while now, but I haven't bought any yet. I always spend my money on muggs now. I used to get the dunnys from Kid Robot a while back. KR has really awesome stuff... reminds me that I should swing by Melrose and see whatelse they have. I think you can get those toys at Urban Outfitters too...

Well, now that everyone made me hungry I'm feel like having some lunch. Maybe I'll heat up some left over pizza in the house or grab something when I go out.
So today I'm planning on hitting up 2 new stores I havn't been to for some Muggs. A Target and a Kohl's. Just so you guys know, the Hasbro website lists Khol's as a seller of Muggs. Anyway last night I made a map of 15 locations in my area that carry Muggs and that I've never been to, all within 10 miles of my house. So today I'm gonna make a few stops and hopefully score some nice Muggs! Wish me luck!
I really don't wanna do 15 Mugg runs in one day, but for some reason I see it happening :p

yeah I remember people saying Kohl's but havent heard of anyone having any luck finding them there. I may stop at one on my way home tonight.

Yea the Kohl's I stopped at had nothing, not even any SW Muggs. So like I said my trip to the two stores turned into a much longer trip.

So first I went to Kohl's, and they were out of everything, like I said no Indy Muggs or anything. Then after that I made a trip to Target, they had a decent selection with a few new Marvel Muggs and the guy there even went into the back to check for me. After that stop with no luck, I headed over to my mall where they have an Urban Outfitters and a KB Toys. UO had a TON of Muggs, plenty of Marvel Muggs etc but the $20 pricetag is just way to high for me(does anyone know of any UO coupons?) After UO I stopped at KB where they only had Doc Ock and Thor, lots of both might I add. Apparently one of the employees there collects them too, who knew?

With no luck at my mall, I went across the street to Toys R Us. There they had restocked their Mugg selection since last week with new and old Muggs, which leads me to believe they might have some old ones in back that they're gonna put out soon, I gotta check there again. The staff was unhelpful and didn't even know what MM are and wouldn't check the back for me.
After TRU, I swung over to the Walmart that's up the street. They had restocked with only a couple of newer Marvel Muggs. No luck there either.

My last stop was at another Target on the way home. I checked their Marvel Muggs and all they had were Wolverine and Hulk. Hulk was just added cause last week they only had Wolverine. So I went to Customer Service where the staff was clueless but extremely helpful, they told me they had 14 Marvel Muggs on hand. I ended up having to go back to the Toy section to find someone to help me out. There the lady on the floor, told me that she was unable to go check the stock room for me because she's not allowed to overstock the shelves. This is absolutely retarded, but I was in no mood to agrue. I explained to her that it would make sense to stock your shelves with different items, rather than multiples of the same one. I asked again if she could check the back and tell me her inventory. She explained to me that she is not allowed to give out the inventory to collectors, because obviously to her I'm a collector. This is absolutely rediculous, how do they expect to sell their stock of toys if they are not helpful at all. Since this Target is close to my house I may just go back tonight and check again when another person is on duty.
Today was a lame day for the Mugg collector. I came home with no new Muggs :(
