I am not sure if others agree with me but hasbro must have a horrible quality control team b/c i have seen some of the most jacked up mighty muggs lately. i mean i understand minor blemishes here and there but so many mm i see at the stores have huge marks on em either from scuffs or loose paint.

for example...
venom = all the venoms' i have seen have so much glue around the tongue that it just takes something away from the mugg

wolverine = why would they paint the black coat first on his head and try to cover up the black w/ yellow paint!!! next time you see a wolverine take a look around the eye region and you will see what i mean.

captain america = i have yet to find one w/o a scuff, paint out of place, or one with straight lines

spiderman = the lines are rarelylined up correctly (black webbing outline b/t eyes), some areas the outline is thicker than others

i guess i cant expect to find flawless mm at the stores, but it is frustrating that the arent!!!

Just wondering if any1 else has seen this or agrees w/ me? or am i just crazy!!!

I have been saying it from the beginning, Hasbro needs to employ a QC manager ASAP. those dudes in the factories just dont care about the final product.

All the venoms I have seen the teeth aren't lined up and on my Venom the one of his teeth was prolly square and you can see this blotch of reddish paint to cover it to make it look sharp. and the spideys I have seen are never lined right and the spider is always out of place. >:(

My thanos is pretty good. Why they didn't add on the infinity gauntlet beats me - that woulda been badass. But back to the topic. My chewy looks fine as well. My Lando however has couple of scuffs that don't come off both on the face and arm. I'll have to take a look at my venom tonight. I was just so happy to even get one that i didnt' really pay close attention.

And be lucky it isn't Toynami that's making these things - their products are absolute GARBAGE. I got suckered into buying one of the first Rick Hunter VF's from their masterpiece collection. Mastercrap is more like it. QC is a joke over there. And they suckered people by claiming "die-cast" parts when only the freaking wheels were made of die-cast. It was/is like 99% plastic junk with horrible paint lines. Plastic in toys nowadays ain't nowhere near the quality of plastic back from gen1 transformers.

So i just got my Boba in - overall box was mint (from bbts), face looks good. Antenna has some paint smudging, and the center of his chest - the ring with the circle in the middle - well let's just say it ain't a great ring, but overall - very nice. And the glue on my venom's tongue looks fine - no excess showing from what i can tell. I still gotta open them tho to inspect more thoroughly.

I saw a Dooku today whose mouth was all the way over on the left cheek. I wish I took my camera.

Quality seems to be an issue for all toy lines, especially lately. However, when it comes to quality, Hasbro blows Mattel out of the water. I've stopped buying the DCUC line due to lack of quality. It's awful when you finally find a rare figure, take it home and open it, and the arm or leg falls off.

Besides Muggs, I also collect the 3 3/4 Joes, and while there are some occasional issues, my Muggs and Joes seem to have the least amount of problems.

Could it be better? Of course. But I'm reasonably satisfied with what I've seen with my Muggs.

What's DCUC? Sorry, i haven't been collecting toys that long.

DC Universe Classics. It's Mattel's 6 inch DC figure line. The sculpts are AWESOME, but the quality is so awful that it turned me completely off of the line.

Btw, nothing beats the ultimate crappiness of the Masterpiece collection for Robotech veritechs. wow. absolute junk. But junk i paid $100 for. Guess that taught me a lesson. Feels like you're handling balsa wood - that crap is so fragile, i didn't even want to bother transforming it. Took it out of the box once and haven't looked at it since.
