For my first customs, I'm making a Pete White, Billy Quizboy, and Dr. Girlfriend from the Venture Brothers.

For Pete and Dr. Girlfriend, I was wondering if the Muggs with skirts have legs under them, and if I could cut or shorten them in any way. I was also wondering the same thing about some of the helmets.

Also, what kind of paint should I use? I have a ton of acrylics, but I don't want them to end up streaky or bumpy. Any tips on smoothing out the paint?

Thanks in advance for your help! :D

12OunceEpilogue<----------Loves Venture Bros. As far as your questions, the figures with skirts do not have legs under them, but rather the entire bottom half is a solid piece shaped sort of like a lamp shade? I would love to see a Dr. Girlfriend especially, but I'm not quite sure how someone would go about a mid-level skirt like she has. Same for White. Those would both be really good figures, though. Would love to see a Dr. O figure with the Vision cape, too.

As for the acrylics, I know a lot of people have said they use Citadel or Master Works, I reckon. I have just started my first custom recently and am using ceramcoat, which seems to be working alright so far. Just prime it with some Krylon Fusion first.

Curses. I was worried about that. I suppose I could always sculpt one? I just don't know what I'd use for it.

And yeah, I just read up on the Citadel paints and such. I just don't wanna spend so much on paints. XD

to make the mini skirt you could just use a mugg with regular legs and sculpt a skirt around it... like fill in the gap between their legs with some type of putty, then just make sure to sand it down to make it smooth.

i think that would be easier then completely making the bottom half by hand.

^^^Phanton Limb would be awesome. Dr. Henry Killinger would probably be first on my wants list, though.

I think air-dry clay might work for the skirts. I ended up ordering blank white muggs, instead.
