I'm thinking of reducing my spending (economic crisis)

Well....with GI Joe and Transformers in our future, I'm at a crossroads. I have been a completist, thus far. I have every Marvel, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones Mighty Mugg ever created. With the state of the economy, however, I'm thinking of curtailing my spending. I have two key passions: Star Wars and Marvel. The other lines I was picking up because I grew up with them and wanted to have a complete Mighty Muggs collection. I also collect the occassional Bowen statue, Hasbro Galactic Heroes and Marvel Superhero Squad (Marvel and Star Wars, yet again.) Well...I'm really having a hard time deciding if I have to take the plunge and stop being a completist. What do you guys think of the economy? Will it effect your spending?

me personally i only get the muggs i like and i have like 32 marvel and starwars and believe me im a completist as well but the way the economy is i just cant afford to get every single one

Well I was a completionist of TF Universe but just today I took the plunge. I am going to remain completionist and army builder for Hasbeo Indy 3.75 in. I have also decided I will slowly get all the Indy titanium but at 5 bucks a pop when there are only 7 ain't so bad. I do also collect Lego and mighty muggs Indy completionist. So basicaally I sacaraficed some of the Tfs I would only get to complete for something I love everyone of. Cuz for me, in those four lines, I have yet to see a stinker.

i will reduce my spending elsewhere before i cut back on mighty muggs. of course i dont know your situation completely but you have come this far you cant stop now, right? another round of stimulus checks may be on its way and that might help with everyday expenses (or figures ;) ). the economy does suck, but things like these, mighty muggs and other various figures, are some of what makes me happy, and i dont want to take that away.

Well, it all depends, I dunno what else you spend your money on, perhaps you do have plenty of basic needs like buying your own food and pay your bills... who knows

I do have a job, but I don't have any expenses, i just buy some junk food and cigarrettes while in the faculty, other than that... I pretty much spend it in Muggs or just save it, though I do have to confess that it's been like a month or so since I bought my last mugg and I'm gonna buy a Grievous Legacy Collection AF xD and prolly Chrono Trigger, Christmas is coming and I'll need all the money I can get to buy gifts for my family and stuff I want for myself (like a 360 or Chrono Trigger dammit!)

Anyway, the current crisis hasn't affected my economical stuation so far...
