So the Green Lantern movie is finally in theaters.

I saw it at midnight last night and thought it was pretty good. Definitely not the greatest comic book movie ever made, it was definitely lacking some things, but the fact that a Green Lantern movie was even made to begin with makes me incredibly happy. I give it a 7 out of 10. LOVED THE CONSTRUCTS and the cameos of all the different members of the Corps. Who has seen it or plans on seeing it? What did you think?

I dont know ............couldn't 3000 green lanterns just push that sucker into the sun? ... Is one yellow ring as powerful as 3000 green ones? And if there immortal why dont those blue bastards get off there asses and kick some ass?

I was pretty disappointed with the movie. And now it seems to be flopping a bit. Was also disappointed to see Nick Jones was cut out with his scenes as John Stewart.

anyway my take:

it was pretty decent.. i read several reviews stating that the movie sucked.. but for me it was okay.. sure it was not mind blowing and it lacked wow factor but the story is quite okay.. i'm not a hard core gl fan though i started reading gl comics in gl rebirth but even though, i was able to appreciate it.. it was an origin movie kinda like batman begins, i found that okay too like it lacked something.. i just wish that the fight scenes were a bit fast kinda like how abin sur tried to escape parallax.. but since it's hal's first day at work then i guess it's alright if he's a bit corny like his constructs..

the story was okay but not great.. it was okay for me to watch it once in the cinema.. would rate it 3/5

This was an alright movie. I mainly disliked it because I don't really like Ryan Reynolds

I will say that the one of the most awaited movie for me satisfied me most and all the thriller and other history elements were there that can give you a new world to experience that you haven't faced before the same.

I had a lot of fun watching it. sure, it could have been better, but it was still good.


I made a comment not too long ago elsewhere that they should have made it like The Last Starfighter. It seems to me that they took some of the lesser qualities of that film, not the better ones. Namely, focusing too much on his home life on Earth.


Oh well, despite my problems with it, I enjoyed it a lot.

He screamed like a little girl in that movie. Every time he did I was just WTF. That and I hate Ryan Reynolds. Always hate when actors play more than one superhero/villain
