My friend actually just bought it and I went over to his place to try it out last night. So I've decided to write a little review since it's still fresh. Played both Dance Central and Kinect Adventures. I would say overall the motion sensor was pretty intuitive as it was able to accurately track most movements of the body which included the head, arms, legs, feet, and hands of 2 individuals at the same time.

Dance Central was pretty fun, but was it takes some time to get used to. You basically choose a song you'd like to dance to. It starts off with the computer model showing you moves and you follow each move successfully 3x to proceed and finally after learning the moves you'll need to perform all of them in succession. Takes a little time to get used to, but is a lot of fun as anyone can play it. The only downside is that only 1 person can play at once. The only multiplayer mode is by doing a dance off between 2 people which is done by taking turns.
Kinect Adventures was included with the Kinect bundle and that was also a lot of fun and easy to learn.
There are a total of 5 different mini games included:
1)20,000 Leaks - player is underwater in a glass cube and sea creatures are creating cracks on the cube. The player uses his/her arms, legs, head, and body to plug up cracks. Very creative idea.

2)River Rush - 2 players can play. Both stand on a raft and work together by maneuvering through roaring rapids, jumping ramps, cliffs to collecting coin-like objects. Controlled by leaning, ducking, and jumping. This one was tons of fun and actually can get your heart pumping if you get into it.

3)Rally Ball - 2 players can play at the same time. Kind of like Arkanoid where you use body to control a ball to break boxes. This one was okay.

4)Reflex Ridge - 2 players race each other on a moving wooden platform through an obstacle against time and by whoever collects the most coins. Requires quite a bit of jumping, ducking, and leaning. Also very fun.

5)Space Pop - 2 players move in 3 dimensional space to pop bubbles together. This was the least fun of them all.

I would say that 2)River Rush and 4)Reflex Ridge were the most fun of the 5 games.
Overall I was satisfied with my first experience playing with the Kinect. I would defintely buy it if I had the extra dough. If the Kinect has a future in the gaming industry then it's worth purchasing if you plan to have get togethers with friends who are open to playing games that require physical movements.
Sorry for the extensive and image heavy post. Hope my review helps with your decision. :)

I have the kinect with both Dance Central (gf's choice) and Kinect sports. I really love kinect sports. Bowling is awesome and you don't have to hold a controller. The rest of the game is also very entertaining. It's best to play with friends. Also, the camera records a video clip of you while you're playing and show it back to you afterward. It's very funny to watch and is great to have a laugh together with friends if you don't take yourself too seriously.

Hmmmm, the Kinect is sold out in a lot of places around here. It can't be that popular, can it?

It's an interesting concept and I'll consider buying one when there's a decent amount of games available. :)

My brother has the Xbox 360. I wouldn't dare to tell him to buy this. It looks like it has the worst games. But if they're coming out with Star Wars and stuff for it, that could be cool...but when the Wii came out, Playstation and Microsoft said they didn't want to do virtual reality stuff like the wii....now they come out with the connect and that ps3 thing...

Ehh... My Wii hardly gets any play and I don't have much room to move around in. The games also don't appeal to me.
