Welcome to Artists Against Cancer!!! Please join us in promoting this great event to create awareness through fundraising for a disease that has affected one of our close friends!!!

Artists Against Cancer is a new organization developed in response to our friend, Matthew McDonald [ME], and his recent diagnosis of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Partnering with Pennsylvania College of Art and Design (PCAD), we will be holding a large fundraising event on October 10, 2010 to raise money for Matt and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Please join this cause and come out that weekend to create awareness about this disease that has affected a great friend and a great artist.

The Fundraiser will be held at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design located in Downtown Lancaster PA! Look for events Friday October 8th at the Alley Kat, AND Saturday October 9th at the Brickyard, AND our main fundraising event at PCAD on Sunday Ocotber 10, 2010 at PCAD!!! Over 10 local artists will be donating their work to raise money as well as raffles, and silent auction items!!!

Included along side the 10 local artist will be a gallery of some of my work, my Mighty muggs Customs. My customs will be on display and some will be auctioned off as well to help raise money! Down town Lancaster is a very Art relevant town that has lots of artists and art admirers!

I, Sid the kid am asking all of you other artists and customizers out there if you would like to participate in this event! Would anyone like to donate a custom of yours to be put on display and then sold in the auction to help raise money for the fight against cancer, not just for me but also for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. For all those who donate a custom will receive an Artist Against Cancer bracelet. Your work will be displayed in a gallery with a name card that will list your name and website or email!

Gooey your more than welcome to donate more that one if thats what you wanna do! I was actually thinking about asking you and chard if it would be cool to donate the marvel zombie set, since they have boxes and everything could auction them off their as a set, plus they'll be on display so you can get some exposure as well! Chex the fundraiser is october 10th, so a week before that would be cool or any time before that is fine as well! Thanks crazy for the goodluck!!

I would like to say a big thanks to everyone who has a.) offered to donate work to the show/auction for the Artists Against Cancer fundraiser! ( Remember who ever participates will receive a little goodie bag with a Artists Against Cancer bracelet, stickers and information on the disease!) b.) Thanks to everyone who has become a fan on face book and also- has commented on this thread!

The next thing I would like to bring up- This past sunday At Marion Court located in Lancaster was an art festival where friends who are putting this fundraiser took time out of their day to open a little stand, where they gave away free Lymphoma ribbons pamphlets flyers and Posters for the weekend long event held October 8th, 9th and 10th! Check out the poster and for all those not to far away see if you can come out and join the fun!

HELLO EVERYONE, I know a couple of you expressed interest in donating work to the ARTISTS AGAINST CANCER FUNDRAISER! There is only 18 days left for submission- Remember this allows your work to be displayed in a gallery showing for an art wise community to take a look over and possible commission orders! Also this allows you to donate your work for the auction to be sold to help raise money for Lymphoma cancer awareness and to help out a fellow customizer, me! Any donations would greatly be appreciated also for your time, energy and effort- I will send all who help out an Artists against cancer Bracelet- to show your support to the fight against cancer! Tonight is the the night! from 7-11pm at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design will be the Artists Against Cancer Fundraiser! It will be a gallery showing of local artists and a special showing of my custom work with donations from following forum members, Rocketboy Customs, Malo April, Matcandraw, Chickenchowmain, Irulan, Dr. Mugg! Thank you thank you for all your help, support, donations, energy, time and friendship! You guys = AWESOME!! Ill have my camera handy to take pictures of the whole even Especially the Mugg area! I hope you guys like what you see!!!! I will post the pics tomorrow in the custom show case thread! :) WOOP WOOP now I gotta finish help setting up! wish me good luck! haha :) Even though most of you have already!!

Here are the pictures I promised a week ago, I had chemo this week and I felt awful, but Im feeling better now. So here are the pictures I hope u like! I wanna say thanks to everyone who donated and or came to the fundraiser! The whole weekend event raised lots of money! I have a lot to do this week, updating pics, posts, chit-chatting, sending out customs, bracelets, and sale orders! I will get to all that stuff this week- enjoy the pictures and thanks again!
