yeah millar said hes hoping the first issue will be out around sdcc time, but seeing how delayed kick ass issues were before im sure we wont see that first issue for a while lol

I think he was saying months ago that he had already been working on the first few issues, so when it came time to start releasing them,
a few of them would be done and ready, so hopefully there won't be as many delays this time around.

They had already planned it, they were just waiting to see how much money the movie made before deciding to go through with it. I think the budget for the first movie was around 30 million and so far it's made close to 75 million worldwide, so they're going ahead with the sequel. I couldn't be any happier about it! And I think it's awesome that they're naming it the same as the 2nd volume to the comic book.
