Could you further explain the whole reasoning behind the negative? Dr. Mugg explained his side. We don't adjust the feedback without a reason and without giving the other party a chance to respond. As you can see, Arejay is trying to rectify the situation. I believe Dr. Mugg has offered to work things out with you.

@TLEE

this was outside of my control. i did issue a refund, but paypal's got it all messed up.

resolving this with paypal. for some reason they pulled the money from my bank acct instead of my paypal acct - and my bank acct info was not current (haven't had to use it in a long time, and i switched banks last month.), so it's all f'd up.

ii've registered my new bank acct, and put in a request for a transfer of funds - should be there by next week at the latest.

please be patient. i know that's alot to ask of you.

you will get your refund.

Tlee, please do tell your side. I for one would love to hear it here in the open forum, as littlenicky suggested.

I would like to know what your definition of "After waiting a month with no Feed back" is. does that not include the correspondence we had from 02-27-2010 to 04-13-2010? there's nothing too scathing about it, so i've posted it below, with dates added for everyone's convenience. littlenicky or another mod could probably confirm the validity of the transcript and dates, if necessary. I'm confident of both.

[QUOTE=TLee][02-27-2010, 11:54 PM] Nice work on the swords what do you charge ? I want all the turtles weapons Thanks

[02-28-2010, 03:17 AM] Hi TLEE, :) long time no see.

the ninjai swords i've been making for $25.00 each (plus shipping) - which includes matching wooden sheath. (this price reflects one that is unpainted - only the metal is sealed to prevent rust.)

I would imagine you're looking for a matched pair of Swords/Sheaths (2 swords/sheaths) for LEO... so if you're in the US, that would be $55.00 shipped.

If you're looking to have me make the weapons for all four turtles, i would give you a big price-break.
I would say $115.00 total, which would be for (2)metal swords/matching sheaths, (2)metal sai , (2)wooden nunchaku, with metal chains , (1)wooden staff. this price would include shipping.

I would need a few weeks to produce them, and i request payment before work begins.

If you wanted more, such as shuriken, bo-shuriken, climbing claws, foot tacks, etc. - i'd be happy to try and make them too.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,
~Dr.Mugg
[03-09-2010, 04:18 AM] Just checking in to see if you have made a choice about what you'd like to order. I'll be checking back in to the forum in the next few days, so feel free to send me a pm. :)

~Dr.Mugg
[03-09-2010, 09:07 PM] sorry for taking so long yeah lets do it

[03-10-2010, 09:55 PM] tlee51@att.net whole set how long will it take?

[03-10-2010, 04:46 AM] no problem. you want the whole set, or just the swords? what is your paypal email account - i'll send you an invoice.

~Dr.Mugg
[03-11-2010, 11:06 PM] Money Sent:dance:

[03-12-2010, 04:31 AM] Awesome - will commense work tomorrow! :)
[03-16-2010, 10:45 PM] How they coming?

[03-22-2010, 01:58 PM] Hi tlee, got a great head-start on these this weekend, sword parts are cut and assembled, not shaped or honed yet. wood sheaths cut and prepped to cut insides. sias gave me some trouble, but i've got another idea of how to make it work, so i'll try that this week. nunchucks are cut and getting the metal end-caps made today. started working on the bo staff, gonna try whittling so it looks kinda rouged-up like the comic depicts it.

will let yiou know as progress happens. :)
[04-13-2010, 01:10 AM] :D how they looking
[04-14-2010, 11:44 PM] Hi TLee, sorry i've not been very good about this transaction & communication.

Progress is going very well on these, the only work left to do is the sheaths for the katanas. I had them already made, but when i glued them together something went wrong, and now the swords don't fit back into them. there's no way to open them up, so i've got to start all over again.

i've attached pics of all the weapons as they are now. i can say this without any reservations, that these are by far the finest weapons i've ever crafted... i can only hope you will be pleased with them.

i understand your concern, and why you filed a dispute with paypal, but i hope you will withdraw it now. i am very sorry for taking so long, but i hope you can tell that i have been hard at work on these.

thanks again for your patience, i hope to have the sheaths re-made in the next few days, and the whole set in the mail no later than friday. i will let you know when they ship & provide tracking.

Best regards,
~Dr.Mugg

[04-16-2010, 01:37 AM] TLee, quite frankly, i'm shocked, and appaled at your paypal ethics.

i can only presume you are in dire financial need, or have given up on muggs altogether.

I know you've been on the forum, and seen the pics of your weapons i've made you... why you don't have the gumption to send me a courtousy message telling me why you want the refund is beyond me.

If you had sent me a message telling me you didn't want them anymore, i would have gladly sent you a refund... as it is, you'll be marring my paypal account with a half-truth. yes, you haven't gotten them, but i have been in contact every time you've written me.

sadly, i will have to consult the admins of the forum, and call your membership under review for the way you've handled this.

good day to you,
~Dr.Mugg

[04-16-2010, 02:38 AM] I Sent You A Message sunday and every day this week I waited just one pic would have made me happy But No you only respond and send pic's when I want a refund

[04-16-2010, 03:16 AM] tlee, i didn't want this to get ugly, but you're headed that way.

facts are facts... so please don't start making them up.

you sent me a pm tuesday, not sunday, and it read " :D how they looking "

it seemed friendly enough. in fact, i didn't get your notice of request for a refund until after i had taken pictures and uploaded them wednesday. i was getting all of itt ready to show you when i saw that you had started the dispute.

which is really irrelavant anyways. if you saw the pics, then you knew i had them almost done, and you should have pulled the plug on the dispute. i don't think that's what's up here - i think you just wanted your money back. if that's the case, just be man enough to say so... it's not somehting i did, it's just you didn't want to complete the deal.

i can take that... but i would have appreciated the opportunity to refund you your money myself. honorably. not the way you did it, which will hurt my paypal record. i wouldn't have done you like that.

[04-16-2010, 03:27 AM] I don't care about the money I make good money its the Fact I seen no progress and I was tired of waiting

[04-16-2010, 03:38 AM] that's a pathetic excuse, and i can't help but feel it's another lie.

you waited less than a month... and to reiterate, you didn't contact me until tuesday... which i hadn't heard from you since i had last given you an update two weeks ago. if you were fed-up you should have said so, and given me a little fair warning.

you've seen the pics now (1 day after you sent me the cheerful message aking 'how they look'). hell, you saw them before you escelated the dispute to a claim... so you knew where i was at with these. if you were even remotely excited to have them you would've made some effort to talk to me before shutting the door.

what you did makes no sense - other than you chickened-out, and instead of talking it out (until now), you shut the door.

it's called a @!&^%-move where i'm from... (please pardon my cusing - i've edited it for the youngins on the forum)

continued from above comment

Well, i trust the people of this forum can draw whatever conclusions they want from this, but i still feel like you ducked out of the deal unadmirably, and dishonestly (up to a point). That's my opinion though, and while that can be debated, the messages and facts above cannot. While i feel you do deserve that strike against you, i feel i do not deserve the one against me. I clearly was in contact with you, and you with me. As pertaining to your refund, it is still tied up in paypal.

Paypal subtracted the money from my account when you escalated the paypal dispute to a claim, and that money has not been restored, so i do not feel i have neglected my obligation to you. My account was only able to pay for a small portion of it, and as per protocol, paypal pulled the remainder from my banking account. unfortunately, my old bank account (i changed banks about two - three weeks ago), was still my paypal bank acct. i had not updated it when i swapped banks, and i haven't needed to draw funds from my account till now.

so, the payment(refund) was rejected by my non-existent bank account. however, it seems they have pulled the money back out of your account, without restoring it to me.

i have gotten my new bank account registered/activated on paypal, and did a bank transfer of the money owed to my paypal account, per the resolution center's instructions. Once it clears the bank (they said something like 3-6 days), i presume it will restore your refund. It wasn't clear whether the re-in statement of the refund will happen automatically, or if i'll have to re-submit it or what. But when i know the money's in the account i'll make sure it gets back to you.

(Considering the fact that we have been in contact quite frequently) once the money is restored to your account I would imagine that your -1 against me would no longer be validated? (any admin reading this: would love your input)

Well, I take it as:

-Dr. Mugg took along time
-TLee forced a refund, rather than asking for it first. Understandable why he would want a refund, but maybe not the best way of going at it.

Personally I think -1's should be cleared for both of you, as both seem at some fault, but seems no malicious intent was involved by either as well.

EXACTLY Litepink^ I think the forced refund was kinda wack! Children put your swords away! haha :) I know I will be sticking my two swords in there carefully hand crafted sheaths upon arrival! You can't rush a masterpiece, but im glad you tried too, cause now i will be getting that hand made awesomeness! I'll make sure to let you guys know when I get them in the next day or so!
I hope all is well in the mighty muggs universe and peace will be restored once again!

ok, this is just my two cents here.

looking at the message history, about a month passed from payment of invoice to a paypal dispute being filed, with at least 2 messages from Dr. Mugg in that time period. Communication could have been better on both ends, but I think that the dispute was unwarranted on Tlee's part.

As a fellow customizer, I know first-hand the time it takes to complete a project can get affected by many different factors. I have had projects that take much longer than expected, but I always try to make it up to the customer. In my opinion, one month does not justify a forced refund from Paypal for a transaction that had been nothing but professional until then.

In my dealings with Dr. Mugg, he has always been courteous and communicative, and I think he is one of the most professional and businesslike customizers to deal with on this site.

I see the swords, so i guess I'm missing the point of all of this. It takes time to do these kinds of things. We are not robots and have lives, families, and a everday life. You have to allow time for that.

Agree with fuller art perfection takes time!

i too think that a month is not that long, as Fuller said, customizers do have lives. I don't think anyone can expect to have anything as meticulous as those weapons done within a few days and in the message from dr. mugg it said it would take a few weeks, a month is only 4. I have no idea how hard or time consuming making tiny metal weapons can be but i bet its not a cake job. I do think Tlee could have had a lot more patience, i mean it was what, a day later they were done cept the sheathes?? and pulling that on paypal was not cool at all IMO. thats just me though :)

I agree. I do not do customs so I do not know how long it takes to do that, but I do other freelance stuff. If you do not do it for a living, then you do it in your free time which is variable. I could understand if it was something like a sale of Muggs that you just had lying around and you took over a month to get it out...but something as intricate as these items look like probably would take a lot of time. Plus, progress pics were sent so I do not see why TLee got bent out of shape.

I know that we all take longer on some customs than others. That is to be expected because they all are unique and require individual creativity and effort. I know that waiting for a custom from certain customizers takes longer than others and is WELL worth the wait. As for Are-Jay since he was already mentioned in this thread.... it was his lack of communication or misleading information that upset people. His recent efforts seem genuine and I hope that gets settled. As for Dr. Mugg it appears to me that he was in contact and the forced refund was not called for. It could have been a much smoother transaction if the demand for refund went directly to Dr. Mugg rather than the way it was handled. Just my two cents though! We as customizers do feel bad when it takes us longer to complete one....... we discuss it among eachother and feel bad..... But we try to make it up to those who wait in one way or another! When a person who orders from us shows patience...... It is appreciated MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY! Makes us want to do more for that person. Okay I'll stop rambling now! Dr. Mugg.......... Your customs are worth the wait! ;)

Must say when i ordered my boba gun Dr mugg was very good with the comunication and even threw in some extras for the time i had to wait( which i didn't think was that long).I was very pleased with the allround deal.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for taking the time to put their thoughts into this matter.

I do take a long time, almost always, but I do feel my work is worth the wait, and i'm pleased to know the rest of you feel the same.

And, as many of you have pointed out, i DO reward everyone's patience with tons of little goodies in every delivery. If you don't believe me (or nicko), just ask Sid - who is presently happy as a lark with all the nifty mugg stuff i crammed into his package.

I do try to communicate with everyone i have outstanding delas with, but i've not done the best. I have at the moment stopped taking custom mugg orders, until i've cleared my current backlog. I will continue to take weapons/acessories orders, so long as they are projects that i can do at work on my spare/break time.

For those of you who have paid me, or sent your trades, if you have any reservations about the wait please let me know. pm me, with an earnest request to know where i'm at, and let me know if you're leaning towards wanting a refund, or if you're tired of waiting. i've done my best to be as professional as possible with everyone i deal with, i would ask the same.

I am currently going through all my orders, and making sure i have them al recorded in my order log book, and i will be pming everyone on that list over the weekend to let them know where they stand in the order, and to just touch base and let them know they are not forgotten. if you have an order outstanding with me, and don't hear from me over the weekend(or just want to give me a freindly head's-up), please feel free to pm me.

thanks again for everyone's words of support,
~Dr.Mugg
