This post has been a long time coming. I bought a custom from AREJAY coming up on almost a year now and have yet to get the mugg. I understand he was having issues in the past, and I have been more than patient. in august of 2009 he claimed he was almost done. He has taken my money and run. He no longer responds to PMs and has lied about completion of the mugg. At this point I hope paypal will investigate him and suspend his account so others will not be taken in this manner. I have bought customs from alot of mugg makers here on the forums which so far has been more or less like dealing with professionals, but this guy is ridiculous.

-1 for lack of mugg. -1 for lack of communication. -1 for stealing my money. -1 for lying. Grow up AREJAY, you agree to something carry through. you are only as good as your word and to me your word accounts for little. Either give me my money back or give me the mugg.

Sorry to hear all of this man. Arejay hasn't been around for quite a while now. His customs were cool and sometimes I miss seeing them, but if he's ripping people off, then I say good riddance. I remember when you commissioned me to do the Akira muggs for you, you were more than patient and it really sucks that you of all people have had to wait THIS long and not knowing what's going on. I really hope you get some sort of refund of your money.

I think he owes a lot of us muggs... but we can only speak for ourselves! So I regret that we have to add that we also have been waiting over a year for a custom. We had a deal for a trade and mailed him our part a year ago (Snake) ...... I know we all get a little behind (rocketboy, hypnotiq, potishen and lilnikeair.... you have really been nice with us and very patient) I don't want to be a hypocrite but I only add to this because he doesn't keep us informed or communicate with us anymore. Are-Jay when you read this (and I know you are on mmf sometimes) I just hope that you are doing better and can get things taken care of! It is really starting to get to people on here. We only live like 15-20 minutes from you and are available to meet as soon as you have ours done. Again........ not to be hypocritical .... I know we all take on orders and get behind........... I JUST THINK YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, as a good friend of Are-Jay's, I can confidently say that he hasn't simply run off with your money. I know he doesn't check these boards too often so I have informed him of this thread, and he will be addressing you guys shortly. I know his situation has been tough, but I hope you guys are all able to straighten everything out. I'll most likely be around to work with him and take care of any issues.

I'm really not even sure where to start but I suppose at this point everyone just wants a resolution, and that is very much what I would like to do. At this point, the easiest route to take would be to offer everyone refunds. Because of my ongoing situation, I am still very much in a financial hardship so within the next couple days, I plan to make a thread listing all the customs I currently have in my personal collection as well as a few customs I have that I made that have been kept due to sentimental reasons. I very much understand people will have reservations about buying from me but this is the quickest way to gaining funds to refund anyone owed. If you wish, I would also be glad to offer any custom listed in exchange for the custom owed as a replacement. All the customs have been made from talented people like Irulan to Kire Lestat. They have all been treasured deeply and I assure anyone interested in them will be pleased. If the forum sale is not a success, I will take them to Ebay to sell them that way. Brandon (Lilnikeair) has offered to help and should u feel safer doing so, we can list them through his Ebay account, or I can have him handle the sales and disperse refunds. I hope you all can bare with me for a few more weeks while I work to get everyone settled and accounted for. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to let me know!

I can't stress enough how truly apologetic I am to everyone. I will admit through that my communication has been terrible and it is truly because this has been a very embarrassing experience for me. My life has gone through so many changes within the last year, and unfortunately, I let these changes affect you all. This was never my intention, and I always have had the best of intentions. I understand my word, I'm sure, is not worth much, but I hope you can believe I am not a bad guy. I have made well over 100 customs and have had so many good times here, and I hope that after everything is said and done, I can be remembered for that, and not for these past dreadful months. Again, I am truly sorry to all affected, and I hope to get everyone content asap.

Look forward to the custom thread within the next couple days. If anyone has any questions or requests on what will be listed, please send me a PM and I will get back to you within the next couple days as everything is sorted out.

As someone who is still waiting.....Arejay has been very upfront with me.... I will agree the waiting time has been very long maybe too long. I think most people just want an update every week or two or if there is a problem or issue to be offered a refund.... Me personally I would still love to get my Valkyrie and Enchantress because the guy has some skill and makes sweet-ass Muggs......I am sorry to hear about any personal issues because that obviously has to come first in someones life.... Hopefully everything can be resolved to everyones satisfaction because I know most people have lots or respect for Arejay and continued to give him the benefit of the doubt probably longer than they would most people.

Are-Jay we know your circumstances and know what you had to deal with....... we do hope all the best for you and your family too. I just urge you to inform everyone of their estimated completion dates...as we've had people even contact us to get info on you since you don't answer their pm's. So just a little communication on your part would probably alleviate threads like this! From one customizer to another........ we all get behind.... but we need to talk to those waiting on us!

This is the last I will comment on this because I don't want people to think I am AreJay bashing, in fact I like him/his work or never would have requested a custom from him in the first place, but I still feel somethings should be said. The problem is when you take and order to complete something, I have always paid up front with the belief that trust is important on both parties. I paid the money ---> the money gets spent and the importance of the project seems to go to the wayside. I have seen customizers (AreJay included) complete projects for a collaboration set or contest or whatever, during said completion times of already paid for muggs. It seems the priorities became confused and that is upsetting. when someone pays for something that is your responsibility to deliver, then the priority should be on deliverance, especially when you have spent the money, otherwise in my book that is thievery. Now I feel bad for anyones personal situations, and am understanding of them. But I was not aware of any issues with AreJay or his family until I read about it somewhere on the forums. For that matter all of my communication regarding this mugg has been primarily from me. Irrespective I hope this has a resolution, as I hope the best for AreJay and his family. But I also, very strongly, believe that a man is only as good as his word, a word is ones bond. what we say and more importantly how we act on what we say is paramount. In my line of work if I say I am going to do something and do not, the end result would likely end in someone's death, so I know the importance of my word and actions.

That being said, I am willing to again take AreJay at face value and believe him when he says a resolution will be reached. AreJay has always been a quality member of this forum and his work is exceptional. I feel bad that it came to this level but hope for this to be a positive outcome.


UPDATE: AreJay has contacted me. plans are underway to rectify the situation.

Nice to see Arejay going out of his way to help these people. Although he couldn't be bothered to supply even any proof of posting when a box of muggs he was supposed to send me went missing despite repeated requests.

I hope you guys get a resolution, although from my personal experience, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Are-Jay I have sent you another msg that has gone unanswered........... I hate to say this but I think paying us for the custom that you have had since last May would be better at this point. It isn't because of the wait as much as your lack of communication with us. I am just tired of sending messages that go unanswered. I would wait patiently as I have been if you were better at communicating. You can check your pm's as I have sent another! Take care!

Plus........... several people on the forum have pointed out to me recently that you have been VERY active on another site... painting a lot of vinylmations! I wasn't going to mention that but it has a lot to do with me deciding to not wait anymore!

That's unfortunate. I'm a n00b and I'm not out any time or money, but I enjoy this forum and hope everyone can maintain a level of tact and diplomacy to get your point across without lowering yourself to a level that doesnt accurately reflect the type of people you are.

i hope those vinylmation orders are being completed or that would just be eff'd and someone would need to post something on his wall to warn those others ordering... i mean looking at his FB he hasnt been on THAT much but you can tell he still gets on his computer from time to time and could have the audacity to answer some pms or post something on this site ...but looking at his blog he hasnt really posted anything since march of any paint work and just a recent post in may about trying to complete orders ...the vinymation status on his fb was about the time he posted his response to this thread ...i guess i would have to see this other forum hes active on ...

i feel for all of you that have had to deal with this problem and i hope he does what he needs to to settle the issues

I have apologized publicly numerous times, sold off almost my entire personal collection to get refunds to those individuals who requested so, and have already refunded a few members, incuding E-Genisis (starter of this thread).

April, I clearly have upset you, enough so to where now it seems you're just trying to "stir the pot". Up until a text message received from Brandon earlier today, telling me to check my pm's asap, I was still under the impression you wanted the Harley Quinn custom. Honestly, was posting that I owe you $70 the appropriate thing to do when you had only sent me a pm 6 HOURS prior, requesting the funds instead of the custom? I mean you made that statement like I've owed you $70 for weeks, again, it was only 6 hours from the time you sent your PM. I have posted publicly that to anyone who wanted a refund, simply send me a pm requesting so, and its been working out great. If you have been this unhappy, for whatever reason it may be, communication, etc. I honestly wish you would have simply asked that of me a long time ago. Its unfair for me to be portrayed where it appears I have kept you trapped in a situation where I have seriously made every effort to give you a way out. I have not forced you to wait for the custom, YOU decided. Why am I to look like a bad guy when I gave you and everyone else an exit route?

And I seriously do not appreciate you posting information trying to lead people to believe I am ignoring my transactions with people here. Clearly I am not given my ongoing involvement in this thread, sending refunds, and giving those owed, a way out. Do I customize vinylmations? From what I gather, I think April (and many others) were more upset with the fact that there was a lack of communication from you. When PM's go unanswered, it tends to get people upset. The longer and longer it goes unanswered, the anger builds and irrational things may happen. It happens to all of us.

I think it would do everyone and yourself a huge favor if you could simply reply back to PM's in a timely manner.

Just throwing my hat in the ring here too. I ordered that classic Batman of his last year, and that took a lot of communication from me to even receive it.

I thought it was absurd waiting two months, but some of you guys are over a year?! I'm really sorry about that.

His excuse in this thread was the same excuse he gave me last year on the Batman custom. He's unreliable, and I suggest no trading with Are-Jay. I was quiet about this transaction, and even refrained from leaving any feedback on the transaction because I thought it was a one time thing. Apparently, it's not just a one time thing.

lack of communication always makes the wait a lot worse. whatever the reason for the custom taking over a year, its always important to keep in contact. after all, we always want to trust the people who we are buying from or trading with. because of course it seems shady when PM's go unanswered. anyone would be upset.
i still dont get why this has been going on for so long??? yikes! glad you FINALLY got your money back!!

I want to put in a few words on this as well. I know all us customizers can relate to taking a while to complete an order, I mean... I'm not the fastest customizer here and do have people waiting for sometimes months before they get their order. And I do feel bad about taking so long too. But I do try and keep them updated from time to time where I'm at. Sometimes I get busy and forget to contact people...

But, when that happens and I do get contacted, I always contact back. Are-Jay has never been the fastest at getting orders to people since I've known him and have waited myself for long periods of time, but he did come through in the end.

I always admired Are-Jay cause he does some great work, but it's sad to hear what's been taking place. Hope that everything gets worked out.

I know the stresses that come with orders and have been waiting just as long for customs from other forum members but they are nice enough to keep me posted and dont go months or longer without communication... or lie and tell me to look in my mail. I totally understand the time issues..... that has never been the issue. I really wanted that custom ... but felt I would never get it. If we can juggle what we do and still get stuff done and continue to communicate then I think anyone could. Answering my pm's would have kept me out of this! It really would have!

Let's get everything out in the open and get everything resolved. So, for those who are owed, please speak up. This thread will remain open until everyone is paid back or given what they ordered. Once that is complete, I will close the thread.

For those who are owed something, please be the only ones to reply. Let's get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Becuase his comments were offensive and had nothing directly to do with the situation which HE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN. I am not the only one taking action here, just take a look up and see how many posts Muggler had deleted by LN.

As mentioned earlier, this is NOT about the being banned from posting your opinions.

The initiative here is to HELP get everyones money back. If everyone (who does not have a direct transaction with Are-Jay) posts their opinion, it liters this thread with side comments. I want everyone to get their money back so let's keep the posts ONLY with people directly involved. They (buyers and traders with Are-Jay) are the ones with money involved in this.

With people posting comments and opinions (who have no direct transactions with Are-Jay), it drives the post down and it gets lost. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible and keep an open line of communication with both Are-Jay and the people owed the customs/money.

So, PLEASE, do everyone a favor and let's keep it between Are-Jay and the people he owes. The people who are owed customs or money back are due this respect so lets keep this thread clean.
