Has this happened to anyone other than me?

I called Walmart and asked for help from the Toy Section and so they had me talk to someone in the toy section. I asked what Mighty Muggs they had in stock at the moment and she gives me "Are you sure you're at the right section and not the Sports Section?" And I thought to myself, wtf, you're in the toy section and not know what Mighty Muggs are. And she had like an attitude too. Poor customer service. =[

oh yea. oh most definitely yea. they told me "i think you mean housewares" and they just hung up and then i called back and after i described them in IMENSE DETAIL, put me on hold for 10 minutes, then came back and started rambling off galactic hero figures. ever look at some of these toy sections though? kmart looks like no one has faced the shelves in 6 months so sometimes i guess i know why they dont know what they are, because they never even set foot in the toy aisle!!

I was at a Wal-Mart Monday and they had a Thor and Black Costume Spidey both in boxes that were at one time ripped open, they tried to reseal with two sided tape. A closed box means nothing when the box appeared to be sat on.

I bought my Doc Ock at Wal-Mart and the box was in good shape but it looked to have the rimnence of pink silly string or something stuck to the back of it in little crums. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for the fact that it was the first time I had ever seen Doc Ock out here and I really wanted him.

Yeah, I don't understand why they have 50 year old ladies working the toy sections. Isn't that a section that would be perfect for the teenage nerd who would know exactly the stock count, arrival dates, and location of every toy in aisle. I guess I can dream.

I've never bothered to call any shops around here. I know the phone answer will be different than what I find in an actual visit.

Fan: "Do you have any Mighty Muggs?"
WM: "What?"
Fan: "Mighty Muggs, you should have several lines of them there in your toy section, marvel, star wars, Indiana, etc., little fat smooth vinyl figures..."
WM: "Vinyl muggs?"
Fan: "Forget it."
WM: "If you want vinyl muggs you should probably try Pier 49."

My Wal-Mart hasn't put out any new Muggs at all in over a month and a half. They still just have 4 Doc Ocks, a lonely Thor, a handful of Obi-Wan and Grievous's, and a load of IJ villians.

Yeah, customer service at Walmart is pretty bad anyway. I've seen the same muggs for like 3 months. The Marvel section is comprised of about 8 Hulks (all in beat up boxes) and an occasional Wolverine. LOL! It is true about 50 year old ladies working the section. I've crossed her path many times. Too bad they don't pay that well... I'd offer to work there just to clean up that section. Hahaha!

walmart st. cloud ( 5 minutes away)- no mighty muggs

little falls (20 minutes)- after buying cody, bespin luke, and the emperor, i left jango fett and mace windu behind. this was in late august or september. i called about a week ago - "we have jengle fett and weendu". also no indy, no marvel

maple grove (30 minutes)- despite being a nicer walmart in a wealthier community, they have no mighty muggs.

if they would stock them i would buy them!! ill give you my money! stores dont get it.

Wal-mart for me is never stocking. But for target thats another story. Target always refill the whole time but the problem is they only have the common ones there :(. The only rare i found was like the thing but that was a long time ago.

I went to Walmart at a little past midnight( mine is 24 hours) and they were stocking and the people grabbed the boxes, looked at it and flung it towards the aisle it belonged to. I now know why they are in so horrible condition. Also Toys r Us Opened a box for me and only had some I had and then they slammed the box as hard as they possibly could against the counter to get them out and then throw them in a green container and then the person who sticked them threw them at the location where they now rest. It is incredibly how ignorant these people are. ARGH!! they make me mad, thats why I go in at night to walmart take the mugg boxes i find and stock them myself so they aren't mistreated. lol

haha, gooey, that would be hilarious and kindly. You go in and just act like you work there. Open the box and then carefully, as if lifting a plutonium core from a bomb, slide the boxes out and carefully arrange them on the shelf. Then carefully take the clear plastic shell off of one of the diorama toy displays and slip it over the Muggs.

(does anyone else have Walmarts with little diorama toy displays? they just upgraded my Walmart so its pretty nice now and the toy section has like a Star Wars display that has various toys set up and out of the box, it has the 4 inch figures, some vehicles, a couple muggs. All under a protective clear plastic shell. Otherwise I would have grabbed the v.1 Vader that's been in it for months. We also have this life size General Cody made out of legos just standing by the toy section, snazzy)

yeah wal-mart is ridiculous before marvel wave 5 came out some had accidently stocked them so i was going a couple times a week to see if i can get my hands on some. EVERYTIME i went and asked no one knew wtf i was talking about. and i saw a bunch of hasbro boxes sitting on the crates but i wasnt sure if i could just grab it and open it myself without getting in trouble

I'm not trying to argue with you guys, nor am I trying to defend Wal-mart. I've never liked Wal-mart. The only reason I ever use to go there were to buy Marvel Legneds and Mighty Muggs. The ones in my area are gross. I always end up using Purell or Wet Ones (sometimes both) right after.

But to get back to the original subject, I would never call any store to see what action figures they have. Most people don't know what you're talking about. I work at Target. The specialty people, or team leaders, mostly work in the day. If you call at night, you are going to get someone who probably works a different area every night. One day they may be zoning Mighty Muggs and the next they may be zoning tampons. Just how retail works. I assume Wal-mart is the same.

I always hate when people come in and expect me to know about everything in the store. If you have a question about a bike, go to a bike store or look it up online. I will be honest, I don't have the answer you want. I know what brands we carry, and I will do my best to get you your answer, but that is it. If you have a Nintendo Wii question, I can answer it. But if you ask the 40 year old lady with no kids, she probably doesn't know.

So I hope I got what I wanted to say across. Now, as for the attitudes and hanging up the phone, I understand complaining about that. But if you go into a retail store and ask what shampoo would be best for your hair, good luck.

Edit: Oh, and I haven't been to either of the Wal-marts by my house recently, but they, too, have had the same beat up muggs forever.
