That's a tough one since therye both my favorite, but I think iron man would win since he can fly around and blast stuff + can wolverines adamantium claws penetrate iron mans suit? Probably but he has to get close enough.

Iron Man's a man in a robotic suit which has all kinds of defense and weapons.
Wolverine is a man with metalic claws and the ability to heal, as long as it doesn't like, cut his head off.
I think Iron Man's at an advantage as Wolverine still has the disadvantages of every other human.
So I think Iron Man would win, but Wolverine is my favorite superhero

Nope, Factored That In And Captain America Cant Get Lucky Blocking All Of Wolverines Hits. Hes Gonna Ger Cut Evetually, Plus Wolverine Regenerates. And I Dont Think Cap Coulld Decapitate Wolverine With His Sheild.

I love iron man. but wolverine would win, because wolverine cant really die, hell regenerate and iron man's suite will eventually run out of power even with his back up, so id have to say wolverine

Wolverine could drown. Plus I don't think he can regenerate from a blown apart stump. He's not like Lobo.
JulianMuerto
11-08-2008, 12:12 PM
wolverine would win. even with iron mans repulsor beams, wolverine can regenerate from a nuclear blast. even if it is only his adamantium thats left. i cant remember the exact comic number, but it was during civil war when he was looking for speedball(might be someone else) this happened shortly after the stanford incident, and he stabbed him, speedbal blew up, and wolverines organs and everything was gone, except his skeleton.
simply put, if iron man were to completely remove all of wolverines skins and all that remained where the bones, he would let his guard down, remove his helmet and start making calls to ppl, all the while wolverine regenerates and cuts his throat.
lol
Choche
11-08-2008, 06:27 PM
What if he shoots to wolvie's heart? I don't think his heart is completely protected like his brain (u know with the adamantium skull and stuff, though there's an opening in the eye... holes? lol)
JulianMuerto
11-08-2008, 07:23 PM
im not sure how he was able to survive a nuclear blast, im sure that his brain was completely destroyed as well, but all the while he was regenerating he was narrating which organs come in first and stuff, and how much of a pain it is.
robocrim
11-10-2008, 12:24 AM
i mean wolverine's healing factor is not as fast as deadpool's but its still good and yeah he could survive a shot to the heart, because all of his organs have regenerating abilities.
I mean iron man can still escape because if wolverine's skeleton is all thats left itll still take like an hour. haha
JulianMuerto
11-10-2008, 02:27 PM
i think in the comic it took like five minutes
robocrim
11-10-2008, 02:47 PM

11-11-2008, 11:51 AM
Wolverine got blown apart (except for his bones) in a marvel Civil War bridge story. i keep meaning to post the exact comic, but i keep forgetting. next time i get on here i will post it. and hopefully with screen shots.

If Wolverines Head Gets Destroyed Isnt That The End For Him? How Can A Skeleton Regenerate A Brain Out Of Thin Air. Cause The Adamantium Is Only A Coat Over His Bone Skeleton, Its Not Like A Lifeform On Its Own, Thats What I Dont Get, You Cant Make Anything Out Of Nothing.

adamantium is part but his healing ability is apart from that. like he and deadpool shot each other through the brains and both just got knocked out. but woke up a hour later .

apologies for some of my previous post about which comics had what. The wolverine comic i made a reference is Wolverine#043 from civil war, he doesnt fight speed ball, but he gets into it with Nitro, the narration of how his regenerative powers build his body is from a different comic, in which he is with an atlantian and he is openly explaining it to her.
here are the screenshots
follow the links, the picture size is too big, if i make it smaller you wont be able to read, or see the details. make sure you look at them in the order i posted them

wolverine is unstoppable. about the only way iron man would win is if he ripped apart wolverine, which would be impossible. im sure wolverines claws would go thru iron mans suit like butter.

Green Eggs and Death
02-23-2009, 07:10 AM
There is no winner. Wolverine would never even get near Iron Man, as Iron Man would just blast him with his repulsors, chest beam, etc, ad infinitum. Would Wolverine get back up? Apparently, according to that amazingly ridiculous atomized-but-not-dead sequence, but so what? He'd just get blasted again. Iron Man wouldn't be able to kill Wolverine (my head hurts just thinking about how dumb that is) and Wolverine would'nt be able to stab Iron Man.
If it's gonna be a draw, I'd go with the guy who is knockin' down the other guy the most, and that would be Iron Man.

BTW this also is not a fight to the death,it says its a brawl. SOOOO i think iron man would win, as logan can be knocked out and so ironman could simply hit him with his beam till he passes out and then leave.

This is when you know you are a true geek. Having discussions on the net about what superhero character would win in a fight against another. :)
flashtestmanalive
02-23-2009, 08:20 AM
but like i said, wolverine had already beaten Iron Man numerous times. So that already solves the discussion.
There isn't a time where Iron Man has defeated Wolverine.
sorry guys Wolverine has it. Also, Wolverine can get near Iron Man, he even surprised him WHILE HE WAS FLYING because he could smell the fumes his suit puts out.
Green Eggs and Death
02-23-2009, 08:38 AM
Ok, so Wolverine flapped his arms, flew up and got him? LOL.
Here's a fact: Comic book writers are the biggest "Geeks" of all (the artists aren't, they are quite possibly the coolest, studliest people alive, but that's another topic), and aren't above writing their favorite character into a position where he'll beat another, less popular, one, especially if it works out well for their story (and for sales). Iron Man has NEVER had the success that the X-Books and Wolverine have had, so it works out well for them (the writers) to have Wolverine as the "ultimate" character. :D
Frankly, and this is strictly my opinion, if you have a character that can never die (heh, not even "comic book" die), there is never any suspense. Who cares? He'll never die. You ALWAYS know how it'll turn out, no matter how he got there. To me that makes a cool character more than a little bit less cool.

They would be fighting in a CAGE people. Wolverine could easily climb up the sides if Ironman was trying to fly around. Wolverine would own.
Personally, I based my post on that. Cage equals less room for Wolverine to maneuver, equals easier for Iron Man to zap 'im. Wolverine just stands there? Zap. Wolverine charges? Zap. Wolverine climbs the sides? Zap. Wolverine hops on one leg and makes faces at Iron Man? Zap. Iron Man wouldn't even need to turn his boot jets on.
Frankly, I think they'd both go through a couple of rounds of Zap/Being Zapped and then go off and have a beer/martini. :D
Heh, We used to do the "this character vs this character" quite a bit at art school (Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art) ... mostly when drunk. It was usually followed by the "who would play that character in a movie?" discussion. Amusingly enough, Patrick Stewart was always the choice for Professor X (this was back in the very early '90s). His bald head gave him the advantage over his less-folically challenged fellow actors. Since we're talkin' Wolverine, I always thought Fred Ward would've made a great one. He had the height (or lack thereof), the attitude and the rough look.

i was trying to avoid this thread... but this has to be said
yes, iron man can blast wolverine and yes wolverine will heal himself and get back up. we all seem to agree on that. what hasn't been discussed (at least on the first and current page) is that iron man's suit will eventually run out of power. it happens all the time. and it takes like 10 hours to recharge or something.
that's when wolverine would win.
flashtestmanalive
02-23-2009, 10:05 AM
True, and in a cage, Wolvy hands down. Wolvy gets zapped? Each zap saps Iron Man of power, Wolvy gets back up each time.
Wolvy wins.
Too bad Iron Man fans this one isn't happening for you. And Iron Man is practically no one in current comics anyway, I don't even know how they'll keep his book going but then again, they kept the Cap America book going for almost 13 (maybe more) issues without a Cap so maybe they'll pull it off.

totally, this new mix up of Avengers is definitely exciting. Seeing all those people who were against each other for so long because of Civil War come together again is awesome.
Hopefully we'll see Thor join some form of Avengers soon. Even though he's busy in Oklahoma and all that with his Gender Bender bro Loki.
Hopefully its' New Avengers, I always dug that team more than Mighty for some reason.

I think what you fail to take into account, Flashie, is that some of us like both Iron Man AND Wolverine, but can discuss the topic dispassionately and without bias. ;)
I, for one, did not forget the fact that Iron Man's suit would eventually run out of power. I took into account that they'd both see how idiotic/silly the whole thing was, and would've been sittin' at the bar long before then. ;)

Why are you so rude all the time Eggy?
Sounds like you're taking something the wrong way. Not only did I call you "Flashie," which implies familiarity (which I would not do with someone I would want to be rude to), but I used smileys. "Wink" smileys, which I don't believe are rude. If you're taking it that way, you probably need to adust your "rudeness" radar. I make that a suggestion, because if I were just rude I'd tell you to just do it.
Now, if I wanted to be rude, I'd make some kind of statement like "all you Wolverine fans (doh! Even though I'm one) are wrong and just stupid" or something along those lines (well, I might not write exactly that, but I'd imply it). Which isn't true ... but I'd say it, 'cause I'd be rude and I wouldn't care.
Now, you can take this post one of two ways: One of them is that it's rude (you'd be wrong) and the other is that it isn't. ;) <--- not rude ... seriously.
Now, if I told you that The Flash (Kid Flash first, Wally West) was my all-time favorite character would that make everything (real or perceived) up to you? It's true, you know. I have no reason to lie, we're not going out. :D
