Wave 3 officially canceled

After stating they were "on the way to retail" around the time the movie came out, they're now saying wave 3 has been canceled.

I didn't really care for Shipwreck or Serpentor, but I really wanted the Zartan and Cobra Trooper. Oh well. Unless they release some more TF ones, I guess my collection is complete.

Dang it, I sold all of my Star Wars and most of my Marvel Muggs to make room for GI Joe muggs! That sucks was really looking forward to old school joes on muggs:(

I wish they would have at least sold them as online exclusives or something if they thought they were no longer viable for brick and mortar retail. They appear to have some new tooling. Why invest in that to not use it?

It's too bad, but oh well I guess. Too much of the first wave and then too much time in between waves IMHO. If they made less of each wave and had released them sooner, they might have done better. Wave 2 for both GI Joe and TF were hard to find around here, but wave 1 was everywhere.

I don't see Ironhide or Prowl on eBay anymore. That China seller (toyssir8982009) only has 2 prototypes of each of those two and wanted $185 for a pair. I can't justify that lol.

That WAS my wave 3 cobra trooper.. I bought it direct from hong kong.. and Im and F****** Kicking myself in the balls right now as now that it is cancelled I will never get it again.

I sold it for comic con money being told it was going to be released.. only got $60 for it.. :( its going to be WORTH 10x that I'm sure.

anyhow.. after I seen this news the other day I almost CRIED.. its a sad sad day for me..

Dude that sucks...I feel for you, honestly I do. I passed a sweet deal like that myself, before I got into Muggs I was at Urban Outfitters and I remember they had a bunch of Thor Muggs for about $11 a piece. Man if I knew then what I know now...I could have made a killing. But like someone brought up the fact that it was said that the TF wave that was just released was cancelled at one time and those came out, so you never know.

Well I mean, we just got a new Transformers wave when people thought that was dead and we'll have a good amount of Marvel ones coming soon enough too.

Truth is, not many people cared about these, much like the Indy Muggs. The characters just aren't as popular as Marvel or Transformers or Star Wars.
