Custom NodNik - Aang

Extremely dumb idea or worth the shot ? I was in Toys R Us and I picked up a Munchlax Cheebee (the pokemon vinyls) (which has nothing to do with the story) and then I walked a few isles over and looked at the NodNiks. They're vinyl. They're toys. Therefore SOMEONE has to customize them. But i was really hesitant. I had the Muchlax in my hand, and i REALLY wanted it, and i'm super duper cheap, so i didn't want to spend 20 dollars, and what if the custom came out bad ? Oh well, I decided to splurge. I bought the munchlax and I bought a pack of NodNiks (2 come in a pack) it was of Captain America (my fav. super hero) and Iron man. So I decided i'd keep the Capt. and make ironman into Aang from Avatar The Last Airbender. WHAT WAS I THINKING ?!?!?! This was one of the hardest things i've ever had to paint in my life. They're small, and their freakin head is bouncing all over the place while you're trying to paint them because they're bobble heads ! I almost gave up on it and threw it in the garbage like 4 times while i was painting it, but it must have been the cheapness inside me that was saying YOU CAN'T WASTE MONEY, YOU PAID FOR THIS !!! So I continued, and in the end ? I actually like the result :)

So what have I learned? I learned that I should NOT put so much sculpting on it next time...because well...it's a bobble head and if u put a lot of sculpting on it...it's head will lean. So, would I do it again ? YES. And I plan too. It was very troublesome but now that i've done it I know I can do it again. They come in packs of 2 for 10 bucks, you can't beat that, so i'm definitely gonna buy another 2 packs and finish off the rest of the main avatar gaang so Aang has some friends to play with :)
