Each state has a certain amount of points based on population. More populated the more points or electoral votes. So whoever gets the most votes in that state, takes all the points. It is not split based on % votes or anything. So whoever voted for the loser, their votes really don't mean anything anymore. This is not a true democracy, more like indirect Democracy. Because if you can remember 8 years ago, Al Gore got more overall votes but lost in Electoral votes

That is why tuition and student debt rises every year. Because the younger crowd do not vote. If you don't vote, you can't complain about the economy, gas prices, foreign relations, taxes, etc

We are actually more of a republic then a democracy. Plus the whole electoral college is so 1800's and needs to go. That way your vote truly does count!

See, At least im not the only one who thinks that. It makes it harder for us averge working joes and janes. But the people on welfare get it easy. I believe one year of Wel-fare is enough. After that your abusing the system. I havn't worked for two years and I didn't get ANY Wel-fare at all cause i was some how denied for it. But what ever. But I finally found a job.
