We have had no new announments. My Toys R Us has PILES of Human Tourch, Silver Surfer, Glactus, and more. Many are also on sale for $8.50. I'm scared Muggs won't last as long as we have hoped for.. D:

I think they'll be around for at least another year or two. They won't be around forever, though. Because there's very few toy lines that last long anyway. Times will change and so will Muggs. I'd expect a few new wave announcements come the beginning of next year and of course even more come time for the toy and comic expos.

They're probably busy planning the two additional lines. I wouldn't worry about Mighty Muggs, though. Hasbro is making so much money off of this line, it's pathetic. They don't have to worry about changing the sculpts dramatically. It's only a matter of paint apps. I'm confident MMs will be around for quite some time. ^_^

Aren't a bunch of new waves coming soon for the Holiday rush? Nov-Dec? Marvel W5, Star Wars W7, GI JOE and Transformers

The fact that Hasbro is planning two brand new lines (GI Joe and Transformers) that should provide a large number of Muggs is proof that Muggs aren't going away anytime soon. (Although the Indy line seems to have died...)
I think the problem is that there were too many of the latest waves that have been shipped. It seems like the ones you mentioned are the only ones I ever see...

You also have to remember that mighty muggs are fairly easy to produce because it is almost the same mold for every character.
