I'm pretty new to customizing MM's. I work for a company that restores seatbelts for classic cars. We use a vinyl paint made by SEM to recolor vinyl boots and covers. I've found it works great for urban vinyl figures and doesn't require a primer coat. It's called "Color Coat" and is available online and in most automotive paint shops. You want to use good ventilation and a breathing mask with it. Apply a thin even layer, let dry, and then two to three heavier layers with steady even coverage. You can prime and paint your first layer of color all at once. It also works well on top of itself, allowing a lot of neat detail work by simply masking areas with painter's tape (also sold in most automotive paint shops).

I've actually used this stuff - it'snot half bad, but i'm pretty set on my laquer primer, with some bulldog mixed into it for flex. thanks all the same for the info - it's a great choice for someone looking to get a great primer/base coat in one.

I'll stick to my big 2 dollar bottle of white paint ^_^

Guess it's a good tip though
