so this may not seem like much, but it makes a huge difference to me in that it speeds up my working time.

set up a cooler with a heater pointed into it - WARNING! Do not put heater too close to cooler, or leave unattended - risk of fire or injury could occur! I'm not responsible for you burning your house down. If you're not an adult, do not do this unsupervised.

prop the door of the cooler open (i've used a pail of paint that was at-hand.)

set mugg inside cooler, and angle the heater so it's blowing into one side of the cooler (this will make the air circulate inside the cooler). notice how mine is angled accross the opening.

as you work, place mugg inside and turn on heater to dry hands-free - allowing you to work on something else for 10-15 minutes.

the stand i've used is a 2x4 block, with a piece of square bar stuck into it. the bar is the same dim as the hole in the mugg's foot.

NEW WARNING! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS METHOD, AT ALL!

or... USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, IN SOMEONE ELSE"S HOUSE!!! :)

HAHAHA... yea, ok, so if you burn down the neighborhood, it's not my prob. k? i've only burned down like two houses and a garage so far using this method... so, it's like, fail-safe, y'know - i've perfected it? :D

umm... i guess i should've said to use a radiant heat source... not one of those propane or kerosene rocket-powered heaters... cause that would just be stupid.

Very cool... Mike and I hand them off to eachother and use a hair dryer while the other one keeps working... this seems better. We'll have to try it! Thanks for the tip!

I tryed the hair dryer, but i don't have anyone to pass it off too... so this was the logical progression. boy, if this helps speed you two up we're likely to see a mugg a day (at least) from you guys! :)

I have to ask, what kind of paints are you using that you need a heater for it to dry in 15 minutes? Mine dries in less than 10 just sitting on the table. :)

Oh, I forgot to add... Very ingenious idea though. Kind of McGuyver like!

HAHAHA, thanks fuller... look for my mcguyver/dr.mugg mugg soon. ;)

i'm in alabama, and it's been a really wet year here, so humidity has been brutal - usually in excess of 100% (how, i don't know). the room i work in is not air conditioned - so when i'm painting it takes forever (with acrylics) for them to dry... like as much as 30 minutes sometimes. even with really thinned coats. so the heater is a must. also, whenever i throw a sealer coat on there (which i did on the one in the picture - just on the body, not the head (to protect it while i paint the head) it could take hours to dry enough to handle if left sitting on my table - whereas 10-15 minutes in the ol' oven and i'm ready to go.

bald, i'm not responsible for your irrisposibility. you should know full-well that setting up a mugg oven next to your equipment in your meth lab would result in a catastrophe... of course, driving a sweet ride like that, maybe you didn't know. ;)
no hard feelings though, ok? just a spit-shine and good coat of paint, and your workshop will be good as new... look on the bright side, here's the perfect opportunity to showcase your customizing talentz... make it a SUPER GARAGE...HAHAHA
